Can't stun at range 2300, but you can nearsight.

If you have just a wizard in a standoff yer fooked - you try and bolt, "Target out of range" meanwhile your runemaster (or eldritch) is lobbing two void/runebombs towards you :)

Of course if you have a handy matter cabalist they'll have far nastier nearsight than a voidy or a runecarver.... (light/suppressers - or is it darkness? I dunno :) will be the same though.. hehe light eldritch vs matter cabby = staff fight ;))

Just last night i got bolted. I stood almost still, inched backwards, i see the runie cast his bolt BOOOOOOMMMMM

'you are in melee and the bolt misses' or whatever.

I was NOT in combat, i was NOT running, i WAS ready to get smattered all over.

this is what the developers say:
'working as intended'
'meant as a soloing tool mostly'

buzz off Mythic, that blows.

That 1512 hit was with broken af buffs (and as we all know bolts are affected by AF and absorb.

The highest I have been bolted by from a mid: 1176, the highest I have been bolted for by an alb: 768. Average bolt: 300-400 (and a load of misses)

Rofl u r right it was before teh AF fix...U got me, however I do still deal over 1000+ damage to most mages....


770 to Sorceror a middie Lastnite but (-545) resist :(

Say ..who are the Ice wizzies out there, I wanna group with u, J0000 nuke Fire Resist Debuff Spells, I nuke Fire DDs, and We hunt LLAW together :p

Oh btw, does any1 actually know some stats for Pillar of Power ............. I tried it on Gorre, but only a couple of times, so not really convinced.

What Damage Stats ?
What Range ?
What Radius ?

Erm no it aint, not any more, I suggest u try it. Yes dmg is low, but dmg is matter so low resists and its perfect for that finishing shot as they limp away if the first 2 didn't quite do the job.

Not sure what that wizzie nuke is that does circles of fire above u but the most it's dmg me for at mo is 66dmg.

again not sure of the wizzies lvl/spec, altho i do usually have 45% heat resist

jeje that Volcanic Pillar come to think of it is not terrible, being a wizard u expect to deal a great deal of damage, but that coupled with a normal AOe could be quite painful !

Oh and btw I Da RoXXor, u da suXXor !:D

@47 i hit lvl50s with 50% heat resist for ~250 every 2.5seconds so I think ur in for a nasty shock when u meet a fire wiz over lvl35.. :D

wizard IS king of dmg, only that mythic doesn't know that for some reason. and it is fun to see that a firewiz that only can do dmg cant even do that anymore. they should have 662basedmg bolts and 438nuke and 230ae (dubbledmg at least)b/c they should be master of pain, and they are not anymore.. well as i thought when roling my first real char, firewizard, that they should be real powermongers it turned out that they became more and more gimped. thanks mythic for wasting my time :clap: :clap: :clap: :clap:

hehe, will prob get either flamed or a lot of responses in regards to the cleric here...

sorry to kinda hijack thread (but gonna do it anyways ;) ) but with all these dmg's you saying flying around, i wondering why the smite nerf in 1.52 ever happened :D I used to hit for high 300's on casters at the most (few 400's) on 4 second cast, 1350 range on high spec smite (with no chance of crit). Now most is low 300's :p Still nice for interupting casts an all and killing .......ermmmm.......people in their sleep but wondering, if zoyster was doing 1000+ dmg and i was doing high 300's, why was it ever said that cleric smite was on par with wizzie's? Hmmmmm....any comments on this?
(don't say that clerics were MEANT to only ever b healers cause the argument is folly. Healers should in that theory only b able to heal but that aint all they do ;) )

perhaps mythic shouldnt of given us smite specline in the first place if they intended for no1 to ever be a smiter, just give it as baseline and no other option

p.s. albs think bout what u reply to this saying because bear in mind that this nerf has dropped number of clerics by bout half and its still dropping

still, 1000+ damage is 1000+ damage....especially when dealed out is.....3 seconds is it? that works out much more than my smite 400 on 4 second :D In fact the damage used to be 3 1/3 times more working on seconds to cast too....just curious why the complaints were made ;-)

bolt i 4 sec, fire dd 3 sec. not counting RAs and DEX etc etc

Kirrenia My DD's do 250-500 Damage, without Crit........Im not even gonna discuss resists, coz Im still in denial about it :D

2.8sec base now, inline with other casters, as intended©

and on subject of dmg, i suggest u try a tank if u think 250-500+ dmg _virtually guaranteed_ every 2.5secs is gimped.

no bt, no parry, no evade, no block (cept 50% bolt reduction), never miss, never fumble, odd resist now n then..

tho smite nerf is still gonna b a big downfall in albion :(

im still here and not complaining bout myself but seems many people have chosen the other options....rerolled an inf or left game : /

Never had much trouble with my DD's average dmg is about 300ish and with a decent dex buff (and a shield tank in front of me :p) i can get quite a few of these of. Bolts are buged for sure, but they are still handy for takeing down elf/kobolds quickly, bolt & QCDD (if needed) and there dead 90% of the time...

I have no problems with my class, infact i enjoy it very much. My only complaint is the caster hps that and the fact that troll's and firby's keep trying to hump my leg!! :)

I enjoy my Fire Wizard loads aswell:D

however I wish we did have a litttle extra like a insta debuff of sorts or Wizard RA of AOE stun every half hour or summat :clap:

Not warped WF m8 just saying that's the dmg i suffered AT the time.. for all i know coulda been a lvl 20 fire wizzie or a lvl 50 with 10 in whatever spec like that is.
