Just had a chat with my brother (who's around the glove in Australia and who I haven't seen in nearly 3 years now).

He's going through a rough patch. He's running out of money and his Visa is soon over. I gave him the following bit of advice and he told me it helped him. (which coming from his pedantic arse means a lot!)

Life is NOT all happiness. It's often ok, sometimes superb and sometimes utter shit. The sooner you stop worrying to much about the bad days, and learn to deal with the problems, the sooner you will be able to enjoy the ok and superb days.

That attitude helped me get through a lot of bad days. And in stead of prolonging bad periods because you're worrying about how bad your life is, you're actually helping yourself get through the bad period faster.

Well one helpful thing i heard from my mother, and those things are always right, is that; Worrying about yesterday doesn't change anything, and worrying about tomorrow ruins a perfectly good today.

Have to admit something which wasn't fair when I thought about it for a min. My gf had said that she wanted a break a couple of weeks before we split, and it was after that she got something for that other guy.. Was rather depressed when I started the thread, but what's that to blame.. So saying that she cheated on me can't really be true, but feck, for me it feels just the same.. :puke:
So to the ones talking about cheating, I'm sorry for wasting your time. Thanks tho.
