What to-do with old PC bits?

I'm stuck already, I am wondering what to-do with my old PC once I get my laptop - The PC is 3GHz P4 Prescott, 768 Ram, 250GB HDD, 6600GT, SB Live and a HUGE 19" CRT.

Do most people just throw old stuff like this in the tip? Or could I actually sell this machine?

keep it, never know when a spare gfx card or HDD might come in handy

my gfx blew up on old pc before i got this new one and if i had had my old spare one at hand i probably could have lasted a few more months without a new one leaving me much better off than i am now

I always sell old (working) PC parts on ebay, so far so good.
