What stat for mid spear?

Just assumed it was STR, but all the spear valk template I've seen (not many tbh) have v high or capped dex. Prolly some of them are solo templates. But anyhow, just STR for mid spear WS?

Also, if anyone has any decent fairly up-to-date grp-based spear valk templates wouldn't mind seeing to get a general idea.
