What song would you have played at your funeral?

Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb. Might still need the 50 Pence track tho to cheer people up after the Floyd.

I've thought about this an (unhealthily) large amount, and have decided that I intend to go out with plenty of pomp/ceremony/wailing mourners.

So, as the coffin is being carried in: The Host of Seraphin by Dead Can Dance (where the warbly sample from Papua New Guinea by F.S.O.L. comes from), and Spem in Alium by Thomas Tallis, performed by the full 40-part choir.

A little ostentatious, perhaps...nah! ;)

Rather mundane and typical for a funeral but Faure's Requiem would still be my choice - Probably In paradisium

Now that would be awesome, especially if you wanted everyone including the vicar to be in tears by the end.

Perhaps an overly long part of William Orbit - Barber's adagio for strings? Not the dance crap that comes before it but just the strings bit played out a little longer. Just when the coffin is being lowered.

Or they just could play Samuel Barbers Adagio For Strings.

Best performed by choir I would say (a la the intro to Homeworld).

It's mostly know because of it's use in "Platoon" the movie though. I prefer the version on the soundtrack.

If you're going for Evanesence you may as well go for the excellent 'Missing' or perhaps even 'Going Under' for a bit of a laff! ;)

As for me, I'm torn between the totally cheesy 'Show must go on' by Queen, as someone stated before 'Barber's Adagio for Strings', or maybe even 'The Imperial March' by John Williams, although that may be more suitable for my wedding, if any woman is a big enough fool to marry me! :)

Well my Uncle had "Wish me Luck as you Wave me Goodbye," played at his funeral on Friday. He kept us smiling when he was alive and he send us all out of the crem with a smile on our faces now he's gone.
