If you want it, I suggest paying whatever they are asking for it.

Hope this helps.

Unless they're Turkish, I haggled a pizza last night, was £12, I haggled it down to £8, only to throw it up like a hour later, fuck sake.

About £1400.

Or buy a better desktop system exactly how you want it and spend the change on a decent laptop for actual lappy toppy use.

Above. Looking at the £1,400 area or so. Couple of things (Such as the RAM) aren't needed and would probably get a bigger HDD instead.

I actually use a 'gaming laptop' 3 generations out I think .(Quad I7, 4gb ram, some dedicated GPU which can play games on max etc) and I've noticed I've stopped gaming on it. Rather have a desktop for gaming.. Just a word of caution

What Kryten said. with that budget you could get a decent laptop and a killer desktop and still have change left over.

From personal experience I would not buy another Dell XPS or Alienware Laptop. The Asus RoG Laptops are better spec'd and lower in price. I paid 1200 USD for a G53sw in April last year. Awesome laptop and not yet found a game that it can't handle with ease. Never even had to the built in OC mode.

The heat fans do a great job of keeping the keyboard area cool. The new model G74 17" or G54 15" look very impressive.

Also the wait time for the Alienware is usually 6-8 weeks if it's a custom build and not a shop purchased standard model.
