Out of interest...

Don't see people reading papers much at college, if ever. I seem to the only non-staff member - is this because people get the news in different ways or does my generation just not care?

I read the Independent because my parents bought it as for years so I grew up with it, and I don't like change. :p But I don't go out of my way to buy a newspaper because of stuff like the internet...if I know I'm gonna be out and about though I like to have one on me.

Have one on you? They're a pain to carry around whether it be broadsheet or tabloid. I usually leave them on the train when I'm done with them.

I used to like the Telegraph (because that's what I grew up with and I still read the Matt cartoons everyday regardless of whether I buy the paper or not.

I read The Sun for trivial, mindless, celebrity pap - then the beeb online for important daily news.

I borrow the Sun from the cashier in our works canteen in the mornings so I can look at the tits for free - before handing it back like the dirty lying scum-filled piece of shit it is.

:)

Other than that I don't read the papers regularly. I try to get all my news from the internet and I try to get it from a variety of news sources (BBC, AlJazeera etc.) - because I know that the vast majority of what any of them publish is 50% incorrect at best...

I read the paper because it's 98% bullshit, but it entertains me.

(or whatever Denzel said in Training Day)

The Guardian and the BBC are the same thing.
I dont read newspapers anymore, as to me its just someone elses opinion being forced upon you, so that you can regurgitate it later and claim it as your own.
Metro is an immegrants newspaper. Thats probably why its so popular .

I find the news to be on the whole a depressing and fear-mongering experience. If anything majorly important happens in the world, someone will post about it here. That'll do me :)

Who needs a newspaper, just pop your head here once a day and you see all the things going on in the world.

Well, the things that people actually give a fudcicle about.

Private eye, it tends to have a lot more truthful news in it than any other paper I've read.

I can get my daily fix of untruth online so I rarely buy a paper now. I have been known to buy the independent occasionaly. I usually only read about 10% of it though.

I read glance at the Times because my parents get it. I do not really read anything regularly apart from the sports section, I only check the rest of the paper if they have an article that intrests me.

The Week, far superior to any single paper and you can actually read it all rather than 5%.

Oh, and the my wife doesn't love me any more because I slept with her -sister / daughter / mother / all of the above - letters in the sun!

I wouldnt touch commercial national newspapers, absolute rubbish, simply pushing the thinly veiled agendas of the paper owner(s), or/and such shallow mindless and even poisonous tat that its beneath the contempt of human beings.

For news/current affairs, i listen to radio 4, newsnight and question time (tv and radio), paper copy i read Private Eye.

Private Eye is rather good, although many people just "don't get it" ah well, screw them.
