impossible to enter the game after TOA?? Hmm I started playing five or 6 months after TOA and Ive found it fine. Ive got ML8 and am almost fully artied out and am approaching a decent realm rank... I have only played in small friendly guilds and never been gifted vast sums of money or bought things for hard currency. As a matter of fact I also work long hours so havent been able to play hardcore. What exactly do you think is impossible?? There are many new starters joining at the moment and with the new levelling system and xp bonuses they are doing things fast and enjoying themselves..
Perhaps you have become a little jaded and cant see whats still good about this game?

any game is basicly good game to some1.

but usually u can leave game and come back after a while without big probs, and i repeat without big.

as stated few times in this thread, daoc is kinda impossible for a new player to join in. and thats imo the biggest prob in the game.

daoc is 1 of the best there is, and it was made by the players who play the game, community is main reason why u all peeps still play daoc, right? its fun to play with guys u been knowing so many years, etc etc, u get the point.

but now if there aint gonna come new blood to the game, new players not just BB's to allrdy existing players, daoc will slowly fade away like so many games been done so far, prob is those other games mostly sucked at the start which daoc didnt.

if there would be a possibility me to play daoc without all that arti and ML farming and after that doing all SC and stuff again i would play the game for sure. but as there aint i aint playing.

and yes u could say buy stuff etc etc, but with 0 cash its bloody hard just buy some stuff what costs u 20P.

and if mythic would be going to right direction with new players and so on, these threads wouldnt be here, right?

and when u place + and - things in paper either side u will c that on - side is so much more stuff than in + side. (and this forums additude mostly goes to - side but as said many times also, reading these threads aint a must thing to do ).

and when new games come to market u will do the same thing + and - side, and as new game usually + side more at the start.

now when u have played some other games and didnt like them , tried another and so on u will be looking bac to good games what u played and daoc comes your mind, but atm daoc is in state that its impossible to get back there and play without all those - things on list and STILL they weight more than + things.

but luckily we have industry whats making new games all the time so we have change to jump and test games and surely there will be GOOD games coming what u play again more than 2 years. when is it , no1 knows. some peeps have found their game after daoc, some dont, i ahevnt yet, but hoping to find 1 so i can enjoy again long times playing game with good guys.

I dont understand all the whineing, is the WOW forum filled with people saying how crap it is?? i played the beta and i did not like it simple as that but did i make a whine thread about it ? no.

If you want to play WoW please go do so we really dont need to hear about, i welcome the reduction in numbers nice little less zerg, demand for items drop hence people wont sell them for the over priced that they do atm.

I hope WoW lives up to what people want seems so many of the recent games of this type have not, Horizons, Lineage 2, SWG the list goes on.

TOA is hard but if you have a decent guild/alliance behind it can be made easier, and no items or ml are really vital to compete i seem to be doing ok with minimal amounts of artis and ml's.

Once Catacombs comes the Graphics will be back to on par again, although i still prefer current graps in daoc to eq2 and wow.

Lets cut out the wow threads on the daoc forums there is simply no need, good luck in WoW i hope you enjoy it.

For someone who splayed for 2.5 years, without being forced, you do talk a load of crap.

I have guild mates who joined after TOA came out and are loving it. I also have new members who have joined since NF, no powerleveling, and they love daoc. I have played for 3 years and I still love this game. WoW aint a bad MMORPG, but its not got anything liek the PvP that DAoC has nor ever will. The closest to DAoC is Camlann, and thats as boring as hell, log in, die, log out. While its crafting and questing systems are superior, the game as a whole is as much or more grind than dark age.

As lofff said, NF and Catacombes put the play back to casual gamers, not ebayed or PLed idiots, so it will bring in new blood and whittle out the old has beens.

So if WoW is so great, why are you reading these forums and moaning like a b***h about DAoC, and indeed, are your subs still running in this game you hate so much.

Like the others say, off to the wow section with you, and leave us who still enjoy daoc alone.

who ever told you had to buy every single expansion as seperate boxes?

Try looking abit hard you might realise you can buy every exspansion to date in 1 box ... Without paying more than any other game...

I bought my new Classic+SI+ToA box for £19 off Amazon.co.uk, not bad imo as it seems to be the going rate for just buying any other MMORPG, tbh I think its quite cheap compared to the newer games coming out, spending £20-30 on just the game alone.

When Catacombs comes out, I'll be guessing they'll release a box with all included for around same price, after they've made some sales with single box.

WoW is the most polished beta I've ever tested and WoW has as much to offer at high levels as what DAoC had to offer at the start, I'm vastly more impressed with the WoW beta then I ever was in the DAoC.
