because there isnt a healthy person alive that WOULD write that piece of shit exept the "singers" :)

and i dont care whos writing the song aslong as its good.

what? A healthy person? what makes you think bob dylan was healthy? what was so healthy about bob marley? whats healthy about green day?

If you dont understand the music, then just say it, your ignorance is not their failure.

Many hip hop artists are unbelievably intelligent with a grasp of the english language that many of us will never understand, the way they can spit over a beat and every phrase makes pure sense to the educated mind.

"my thoughts grow like herb in wild fields of mango,
while certain man have jankrow and flex like flamingo,
Im buffalo, this shit gets venomous like kosovo,
The man-a-mo, man a move undetectable."

man anyone can see what he is saying, but its not exactly simple stuff he is talking about here. I'd be willing to put any of the true hip hop artists against any singer/song writer and their lyrics will be just as good, if not more. Man you know jack.

+ reggae has amazing lyrics "the shackles round my feet are gone but im still not free" - Marley.

"Babylon, gwaan free the people, life worth more than money, house and vehicle, in a debt trap you lead the people, you better stop starve and feed the people" - I-wayne.

"And there is no time and place for your "reason", junk is what your thoughts they manifest activities of your thinking" - "Now dem a ponder how the ghetto youths so slick, them grow with ancient hunger." - Sizzla

Id say the last one is definatly about you ;)

Must agree with Darksword, if you want good lyrics you will do well by going rap/hip hop. The more underground the better lyrics mostly.
Not saying there aren't any good rappers in the main steam, they do pop up occasionally (E.g. Eminem)

Agreed in principle, you get these twats like 50cent who are utterly useless but popular because they are 'gangsta' and that is what all the white middle class kids think they want to be. Then you get Public Enemy, generally very intelligent lyrics that actually have a point and purpose. Also groups like De La Soul, extremely clever lyrics and positive messages to boot.

I can't stand 95% of these mainstream rap clowns right now, you even have old LL Cool J selling his soul just so he can get back in the charts and recognised on the street again.

If you want good lyrics and great beats get Commons album, 'Be', it is amazing. Ilmatic by Nas is also a classic which shouldn't be skipped.
