Trying to do a little budget spreadsheet thingy for my flat. Have I missed any bills?

Rent
Electric (no gas bill afaik)
Water
TV License
Council Tax
Home Insurance
Phone Line/Internet

That said; would people recommend all the 'extras' on home insurance like theft outside of house etc.?

Also does anyone know any good deals for a company offering both phone & internet in one? I'm not a massive downloader; it'd mainly be used for browsing on firefox and maybe the occasional game update download etc.

Copied and pasted from my "how skint will I be when I move out of my mum and dad's house" spreadsheet, I had the following (not specifically limited to the flat itself):

Mortgage Payment
Car Payment
Council Tax
TV Licence
Broadband
Phone line rental
House Insurance
Gas
Leccy
Mobile Phone
Factor charge
Monthly Petrol

The only one I think you may have missed is the factor charges if your flat block is managed by a factor. I'm being anally raped £79 a month for some useless fuck to hoover the stairwells and change light bulbs, it also covers my buildings insurance.

Re house insurance, I've not got accidental cover, only theft/fire cover which costs me £10 a month. I've just added complete worldwide theft/accidental cover for all my photographic equipment which came in at an extra £9 a month with a £100 excess.

Phone line for internet I would guess. I have a house line for the net but no phone plugged into it.

Are you taking food bills into consideration? also credit card payments, if you have them, general day to day living costs basically. People tend to dismiss the little spends here and there, but they do add up

if you can, i would get a cable package. normally cheap, no need for landline, but has TV (basic/free pack) and interwebs. plus more convenient to have one place to cut off instead of 2/3

You're not completely exempt if you're a student are you? I thought it was just discounted.

If the students are the sole residents then you are exempt (as long as you are in a full time course). If the residence has a mix of students and workers, the residence gets a discount on council tax up to 25% as long as the students are in the majority. It does vary slightly depending on the council, but that is generally correct.

The downside of course being that a cable package means Virgin. Virgin are absolutely fucking awful.

This.

It is a major "missed bill" when moving on your own.

Food, travel(bus fares etc), washing(clothes), toilet papers, lamps, dishyliquid, etc etc.

Toht.

Lamps = lightbulbs?

I assume Toht is using the "correct" according to science nerds name for a lightbulb rather than the whole fitting itself.
