What does this mean?

I've installed CS 1.4 and everything is ok, it works when I go to "play on LAN", but whenever I try to load it from All Seeing Eye I get:

NET_SendPacket ERROR: WSAEINVAL

What the fuck does this mean and how do I fix it?

WSAEINVAL (10022)
Invalid argument.
Some invalid argument was supplied (for example, specifying an invalid level to the setsockopt function). In some instances, it also refers to the current state of the socket—for instance, calling accept on a socket that is not listening.

No idea what it means though. I always try to blame the firewall or network settings at this point.

Check your config connection settings, they always change after a upgrade. And add -noipx to your command line.

Sorted it, it was ZoneAlarm not letting HL Launcher access the net. Strange coz it never asked me if I wanted to allow HL to access the net, but never mind.

It normally does but because HL changes res it normally makes the box disappear or not visable.

Yeah, I ended up checking ZoneAlarm manually after reading Itchy's post on the off chance that the HL Launcher was sat there and, hey presto, it was with a little question mark next to it.

To connect or not to connect, that is the question.

aye, Zone Alarm was acting weird for me the other day, i wasnt running it, i access the net but it just didnt open pages, MSN Messenger etc, so after like 3 hours of been pissed off, i decided to Open Zone Alarm, and delete all the Programs, meaning it had to find em again.... and voila it all worked again
