The Da Vinci code is the latest in mass marketed conspiratorial junk that creates a counterfeit zeitgeist and diverts focus from the real conspiratorial agendas that are unfolding before our own eyes, not on a movie screen or a fictional paperback but in reality.

The main theme of this fiction that many fools have chosen to take as fact, is that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and fathered a child. This is based on one sentence from a heretical Gnostic gospel from the mid-second century in which it is claimed Jesus kissed Mary Magdalene (that proves it for me).

Lies? The "trinity", the virgin birth, the non-sexuality of Jesus as an individual human being, the denial of Mary's role as a deciple, the exclusion of women from leadership in their religous institutions. The church wanted power among men and male dominated institutions.

These are not positive factors and while the book is sensational fare, it raises some issues that should help some people have the curiosity and the motivation to question, investigate and learn something beyond the lies the church is based upon.

I actually ment to refer to the church, not the bible, being an organisation that has the one truth at hand. The only organisation that has killed millions of pepole unpunished in the name of god, an organisation that clearly states that women are not equal to men. An organisation led by old clueless people that know a million verses by heart and thus can make rules for millions of people all over the world... an organisation that tells people to NOT use condoms because if you get aids you probably had it coming... an organisation that basically tells you that no matter what you do in your life everything is part of a big masterplan anyway... an organisation that wrote a book about all this crap and called it the bible (wich for your info I have read cover to cover for at least 50 times because I had to when I was young, and because I wanted to know it when I got older).

like i said dont start on religion. I happen to be catholic and dont want to get into a debate over something that gives ppl real hope, you may not agree with it but this isnt the place to view your points. go see a priest rabbi what ever you believe

I tried reading the book. I really did. I gave it three good goes. But I found it really boring. About as exciting as reading a vacuum cleaner instruction booklet.

I certainly won't see the film.
