Know a guy who started to lose hair because of him using Dax Wax every day for a year, when he stopped it slowly started to grow out again :p
And you could litteraly scrape the shit off his pillow when he had been sleeping :D

I know.. Dax aint hairs best friend.. Thats why im using ID wax daily, while having my hair filled with Dax to parties etc :)

I had to check the date on your post when I read mullet, thought it might have come from a thread in 2004 somehow :p

I struggle.

My hair is terrible - its more frizzy than curly and has a complete life of its own. Its currently shortish (short at back and sides, long on top and at the front so if it was straight it would be a kind of emo style bob.

As its curly/frizzy though, I either look like a kind of sheep gone nuclear, or I have to put gel on it (shockwaves steel styling gel) and try and make it look vaguely interesting.

I usually fail.

I so know that problem :/ I think soon I tried everything known to mankind to get my hair smooth but it's still a bit frizzy :( New product atm, let's see the results.

Yeah I've tried Frizz-Ease shampoos, conditioners, serums etc etc and nothing works. I got it blow-dried/ironed straight last weekend and I absolutely loved it - it did what I wanted it to, and even looked half normal when I woke up! I went into a hairdressers yesterday to look at getting it permanently relaxed (what they do to afro hair) but she said it wouldn't work because it was too straight (!) (although I had been wearing a hat that morning). I'm gonna buy some straightening irons this weekend anyway though, and see what I can do.

My hair looks something like this naturally:

if you buy straighteners make sure you use heat protection because you will end up with severely damaged hair.

Depends, as it reaches down almost to my waist.

Sometimes it's plaited, sometimes it's just in a ponytail, sometimes it gets shoved into a scrunchie and tied in a knot on top of my head :)

When I go, I normally leave it down and then within half an hour I've tied it back out of my eyes cos it drives me nuts when it blows in my face.

And I badly need to find a new hairdresser cos my last one shut her shop and went back to home appointments and I can't be doing with that.

I have straight hair again!

I bought myself a hairdryer and a pair of straightening irons, and my hair is flat and smooth! Its not 100% like it was when I got it done the other week, but its good enough :)

Only drawback is that it took about 2 hours :(

When your about to leave your house, be it for a trip down town or for a night out on the pull, what do you do to your hair?

Do you play it simple and keep it flat? Spike it up? Have a little quiff (sp?) at the front? Is your hair shaved? Or long and curly?

Basically, what do you do to it?

I'll start. I generally do mine spikey on the top and the back and have the flat down but push it slightly to one side so it has a very casual but stylish look.
I comb my hair with a pork chop for the greesy look:p

There was a girl at my school who had wild frizzy hair like that pic you posted, in year 7:p she got the nickname of Afro Cow or something:p... anyway
last year she started straightening, took about 2hours a night but its well worth it for the smoothy goodness imo, frizzballs are not in:p

And how often do you have to do it?

The question is how long can I leave it without it getting wet, washing it, or me sweating at all. About 2 days is my guess given I live in Leeds (quite wet) work outside sometimes (more wet) and go to boxercise/gym/karate three times a week (sweatyness).

I'll see how long I can keep it up, but its certainly a new styling option for going out etc :) Only problem is, I look a bit emo ;)
