Went out drinking on Monday night, but spent the whole of yesterday indoors due to my cold getting worse . At this rate I'll probably be spending new year at home again; thats two years in a row

also found out how expensive extra batterys are for my sony digital camera. My dad brought me a spare battery for christmas but it was the wrong one - so i've just popped round to comet to change it - the one had brought was £100!! for a battery the size of a matchbox!! madness

The one i needed for mine was 75quid! i guess it's that InfoLithium part that makes it so much.

mines just the normal rechargable aa'a and they last ages .. lucky me!

my sony rechargable pack lasts for ages but it's useful to have a spare. It's amazing cos i never use it without the screen on, so u'd think it would drain it quick but it don't. Specially when u can record movies on the thing.

Useful thing is the camera tells u exactly how many minutes left until it's dead.

What camera did u get?

i got the olympus c-100

makes movies in quicktime only 60 secs though

but i got a spare memory card and usb imasge card reader so theres no need 4 wires from the cam to the pc .. i just plug the crad in the reader

/edit I bought by g/f a very expensive ring (among other stuff) which she doesn't like. It's sitting here on my desk and we're taking it back to exchange it for a much cheaper necklace at her request and blowing the rest on a f'king shopping trip in London. I really shouldn't have bothered.

I got the Tripods on DVD (heh, nostalgic heaven... "I am Bean Pole. I am French. No, honestly, I am. Oui. See!!") and Cats and Dogs on DVD. I got the new Simon Green book which I am happily working my way through. A cook book because after seven years of being vegetarian and now changing my mind, I have no sodding idea how to cook anything that contains blood, and I am convinced its putting Kenny in mortal danger. And two toothbrushes. Wohoo. I just suggested it to my parents to prove I wasn't all capatalist and big present oriontated, so all the sodding relatives jump on the bandwagon. Cheers. Its not even one of those posh new fangled ones. Its MANUALLY OPERATED! *sigh*. And a cow cushion, and three cow mugs, and cow socks, and a cow emblem cheese toastey maker. Its a theme....
