i heard on the tv that the sun period has ended but summer isnt over.

ive always thought they need to put the calendars back a few months to reallign the seasons with the months we associate them with.
about 10 yrs ago it went out of synch.

It depends if you count summer as starting on the summer solstice (normally around the 21st of June), or if that day is the middle of summer (ie midsummer's day), if the first one then it ends on the first day of autumn, which would be the Vernal equinox (normally around the 21st of September) in this case. If the second, then the equinox would be the middle of autumn, so the end of summer would fall halfway between the two, normally counted as being the 1st August.

out and about wear tight fitting clothes and short skirts if you dont mind the temperature.

im a northern hard nut so i go out in the snow in just a pair of socks if needed.

i do walk about the house naked with the curtains open...it doesnt help that we have no windows in the lounge and the only rooms that do have windows only look out on to the garden and a vacant lot.... though i did manage to startle the gardener once.
