Hey Northstarr, welcome to the realm!

Assuming you have gone down the nightshade path, make sure you take a look here. Someone already mentioned this site I think, but not sure there was a link.
It can be tough to level a nightshade, but not impossible. People will not 'jump at the chance' to invite a nightshade into their group because a healer will give more healing power to the group, a warden will give the bubble protect, a tank can stand and get hit, but a nightshade is not understood very well and so is thought by most not to add much to a groups dynamics. People will group ns's sometimes though, if you ask nicely or even better still, make your own groups, then people will ask to join your groups or return the favour when they have a group. You can solo quiet reasonable up until about 25-30 (although try to get as many levels grouped at parth farm and in spragg den, etc as u can), then coruscating mine is not too bad for grouping. You will find it pretty much impossible to solo from about level 40 and so will have to rely on innis groups mostly, which is ok as long as you dont mind waiting an hour to get a group together. Anyway, it'll be a while before then. Message me in game if you need any help or advice.
Rangers have similar grouping problems that the nightshade does (if not moreso) but is able to solo a lot better at most levels (assuming a certain spec). Enchanters are good if you will do more solo'ing than grouping. Mentalists can be a lot of fun too.

hm what i did was 1-20 mostly did kill tasks.

20-30ish most i made my own groups here go to sprag den till lvl 23 then u can do pookahs until about lvl 28.

28-40 i went to CM here mostly made my own groups again and a nice guild that grouped me alot-Obsidian order.

40-50 hm i have to say from lvl 40-45 is a real struggle tbh and i nearly gave up here as did most shades i think ur not really good for EZ or fins so basicly try and get a group at banshees but u still take a beating.

lvl 45-50 actaully this went really quick got myself on the fins list and lvled quick.

best thing to do when ur on the fins list is keep messaging the fins list holder to see how long before ur turn other wise sometimes they will leave u out.most of all use a damn shield i never got hit from fins mostly due to high evade and blocks.

Firstly welcome to hib northstarr. Secondly play whatever char gives you a kick out of it. Personally i love my ranger dearly - sure he gets shafted by assassins on a regular basis but the satisfaction of being able to dish out up to 1008 damage and then dissapear is worth it - it took a full infil team to nearly 30 mins to find me in odins today - if u play carefully rangers are still viable - just.

Overall though if you want a fast-leveling class that will be fun in rvr i'd have to point the finger at a warden - good all round char. Dont play a rogue if you want to levek quickly ;)

I'm sure ppl will disagree with me but it's my tuppeny's worth. Incidentally envenom it wasn't you who posted that thign about equal numbers - i got mixed up.

argh, don't do that!! The list holder gets enough spam as it is, adding to it will only annoy him. Most list holders (well i know i did) wont skip you, it's just you have to wait a loooong time for that rogue spot to come up. Once a rogue gets in the fins grp they never wanna leave. ;)
