Hey Northstarr, welcome to the realm!
Assuming you have gone down the nightshade path, make sure you take a look here. Someone already mentioned this site I think, but not sure there was a link.
It can be tough to level a nightshade, but not impossible. People will not 'jump at the chance' to invite a nightshade into their group because a healer will give more healing power to the group, a warden will give the bubble protect, a tank can stand and get hit, but a nightshade is not understood very well and so is thought by most not to add much to a groups dynamics. People will group ns's sometimes though, if you ask nicely or even better still, make your own groups, then people will ask to join your groups or return the favour when they have a group. You can solo quiet reasonable up until about 25-30 (although try to get as many levels grouped at parth farm and in spragg den, etc as u can), then coruscating mine is not too bad for grouping. You will find it pretty much impossible to solo from about level 40 and so will have to rely on innis groups mostly, which is ok as long as you dont mind waiting an hour to get a group together. Anyway, it'll be a while before then. Message me in game if you need any help or advice.
Rangers have similar grouping problems that the nightshade does (if not moreso) but is able to solo a lot better at most levels (assuming a certain spec). Enchanters are good if you will do more solo'ing than grouping. Mentalists can be a lot of fun too.
