what class to make?

lo all
just moved to hib from alb and im stuck on what class i shud play. in alb i had a pally which was fun to xp but rvr was a bit lame. also had a minstrel in the bg which was quite fun.
i was thinking on making a stalker but after reading so much bad stuff about rangers that leaves me with nightshade. main question is are nightshades as fun in rvr as infils are and if not which class do you suggest i play.

shades are of course fun, and if you are going to choose a stealther choose luri shade, with +10 con/str and +5 dex/qui. spec for blades as your damage type.

just remember that you aren't a class which has a primary role in xp, so unless you find a regular xp group or a good guild, xping will be hard.

started my char b4 i got a replyso i now have a lvl 5 stalker 10dex/qui 5str/con. put 1 point into pierce so far.
why should i choose blades over pierce, shouldnt a high dex make pierce a lot better for me as str doesnt go up with lvl?

a lot of it depends on whether your making a full "up to lvl 50" char, or a battleground only one, if your only taking it to lvl 24 then rangers are entirely viable, because there's no see hidden etc... basically they actually work as stealther archers in there, but with the current archer nerfage bull shit that is see hidden in high lvl rvr they're a bit stuck

basically, light mentalists are very good casters, rangers are ace for the battlegrounds, nightshades are a good class for high lvl rvr but not so good for battlegrounds because they havent really filled out properly by then...

in my oppinion, since mythic seems intent on screwing every class that exists with nerfs at some point or another, ignore them all, i mean it, totally, just pick the one which gives you whatever play style you want, because if you go for an ungimped one, it WILL get nerfed at some point, there's no way around it, just go for whatever suits your play style

I heard an interestin shade spec a while ago and have recently decided to try it out. More for the comedy value than anythin. An all cs/env/stealth shade (envenom left at 37 as can then reach lifebane with rr and items) with no spec in weapons (except maybe a few spare points ) and using a staff. I just thought the comedy value of paing someone with a staff would be worth the effort of levellin a char with absolutely no usefuleness to a grp (no wep spec = no taunt ).
I have to say it's good fun and is a decent break from playin my other chars. Also it seems to work well atm tho of course this is at low level and i have no idea what it will be like once i get higher. Can't wait to try it out in the bg tho.

more enemy classes are weak to pierce than to slash !!

the spec with no points into weapon didn't prove to be good (look at catacombs).

I suggest Luckie 'nmor Shade Guide - it's a very good one.
I use it with my shade - with a few tweaks its served me well so far.

hibs hate grouping stealthers dont be 1 ask any shade me,ebonn,dexa not the power lvled 1s like peach noche etc ask ebonn and let him tell u what its like for a stealther in hib it aint nice at all.

however if u go mid and roll an sb they love u in groups i got a lvl 24 1 alredy

I did try and make space once or twice, but that's cus I knew she was an ok person.

I've given NS' my spot at fins plenty of times so they can make up their level or whatever, ask Dexa, she was one of 'em.

It is a personality thing too envenom, and the way you've always acted doesn't make you really desirable to many hib groups I'd say.

If u wanna rollout a stalker class i would suggest a NS. I have been in a group with them a number of times and they seem to do better then the rangers i grouped with. Could be some where not very well specced, but i've seen a couple of NS tanking really well. My own NS is still very low leveled so i can't judge on it personally but i'm planning on trying to spec her for melee purposes too so i can get groups a bit easier.

Envenom... when u saw me being PLed?! Get a clue, all ppl who meet me KNOW that I made my way to 50 (and be4 u say n00b I´ve got 50 ages be4 u so stfu). I got PL (guild banshee hunt) at 40 to 40.5 BIG deal wow. How I soloed my lvl 20 to 30, grped from 30 till 50. Ask any1 in hib, lvling fast != PLed, just learn to lvl and MAKE friends (which of course u didn´t manage to do in Hib it seems).

And btw don´t make a shade, they r the weakest of all assasins, much better a celt ranger if u fancy a stealther.

I had a rr4 armsman (S/S) down to 10% when he used IP so 200% hp vs me and fleed from hib DF entrance when I hit 50. I had 80% hp left and no buffed

With IP and SH u need to be r4l1 to have it... And 14 more points = r5l5 >,<

Any opinion about how good is Wild Arcana 2 (8 rps) or WA 3 (14 rps)?

as for the stealther groups we made them long ago before RAs and stuff and its not like i did it all the time sometimes id group sometimes i wouldnt.
i never asked anyone for a rez at the alb tk when i died i released and came back and i had my own buffbot so there was no need to ask ppl but on many times i asked Xyna from cbh for a few buffs if any spare conc and she would gladly give me some.

and tbh i was a soloer i loved soloing only ever grouped with gavon,dexa for a change of tactics and i grouped with my guild sometimes too when it rvred alot doesnt now thou.

And still today dexa,gavon is soloing and groupin in emain so please dont blame me.

As for the spamming ive said it one to many times its nothing personal really i just spam ppl who spam me basicly.

errrrr soz mate heres a few tips 10 stren 10 dex 5 con 5 quick that was my stats

40 envenom. can be brought down to 38 next patch and still get 50 to use lifebane
38 blades/pirece can get to 50 with items and RR
40 crit.now u have decresed envenom u can raise this somemore
40 stealth get to 50 with items easy.

my RAs were Viper,master of pain 3,dodger 3 dex 2 quick 2 strength 1 and see hidden probley some others i cant remember.
