I should point out that while ico is fantastic, I would not say it lasts ages, not even if you play it twice to see the subtitles. I figure most people will beat it in summit like 6-7 hours of play, and because it's good they have a tendancy to be in a row. Might be best as a rental.

Just find SCUMMVM and enjoy those lovely classic LucasArts adventure games. I do on a daily basis.

Not EMI!!! The gfx was alright but the story was sheer and utter crap and had no "monkey island" feeling at all.

This was the first pc game I ever bought and was also my very first RPG, it has a very interesting story and it WILL keep you occupied for a long time.
And it's also free! What more could you want?
Not sure if it will run on newer OS though.
