I've said it before and I'll say it again, you've got damn good taste maxi. Except for that twee stuff you and snoop both seem to like, which I've never knowingly heard.

I dont like *many* bands that i'd consider twee, Dressy Bessy are good, and most groups that can muster a good 60s girl pop sound i can like. But its pretty much all throwaway stuff.

TBS/Field Mice - ergh, wimpy limp wristed jizz. IMO

This is almost impossible, but anyway - INPO:

* Drive Like Jehu - "Yank Crime"
* Kerosene 454 - "At Zero"
* Bluetip - "Dischord No. 101"
* Beastie Boys - "Check Your Head"
* Shellac - "At Action Park"
* Fugazi - "In On The Killtaker"
* Abilene - "Self Titled"
* Karate - "In Place Of Real Insight"
* Jawbreaker - "Unfun"
* Sunny Day Real Estate - "How It Feels To Be Something On...."

Honourable mentions include Big Black (Shellac made it instead), Hot Snakes (couldn't really have one of their albums and DLJ on there...), and if you ask me again tomorrow I'd probably state a different Fugazi album.

I don't think it's as good as White blood cells and certainly won't be in my top 10 very long, but there's still some quality tracks there:- seven nation army, girl u have no faith in medicine, black math, hardest button to button, true that we love each other

Sorry, but none of those compare to any on White Blood Cells.

10. Unkle - Rabbit in your headlights

My second revised list

Hurrah for numerous mentions of Interpol. It almost makes up for the fact you mentioned Slipknot and Linkin Park.

Knew i'ld get burned for that. I've only just got into Slipknot, a mate lent me the Disasterpieces DVD and it's really quite good. I realise only the drummer and lead guitarist have talent but i'm ok with that as I am quite partial to jumping around and saying rude words.

I've gone off metal now, but yeah - Slipknot have a decent guitarist and drummer. Unfortunately that's about it. I'm happy to sit here and listen to wussy music like The Smiths.

May I recommend Sonic Youth to you if you like loud, noisy, thrashy and screamed vocals? Get Death Valley '69.

Zwitter, Klavier, Seemann, Speilhur, Sonne and Links prolly. But I love all their songs. Cept maybe Rammstein...gets boring, and Herzeleid gets irritating after a while...
