I bought a compilation CD of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers based solely on the two songs 'I won't back down' and 'Runnin' Down a Dream.' I love those two songs. It's a shame that I couldn't say the same about the remainder of the CD. There were some other vaguely nice tunes, but those were the only two that struck me as... special, for want of a better word.

Hrm.

Now on top of my CD player I have...

Turin Breaks - The Optimist LP (which isn't very good really, Mind Over Money is the best track on there).
Marylin Manson - Holywood (Good. The Nobodies is a quality track).
NIN - The Downward Spiral (Closer is probably one of the best tracks in the world).
GNR - Appetite for Destruction (just for the long over the top solo's that are plain great. :) )

MAJIC.

Bob the builder is no more.

BAD NEWS.

The song that has replaced it is :

Shadow, Shadow, where is shadow
Shadow, Shadow, where is shadow
Where can shadow be!

From the Big Bears house on Disney.

Let me try and explain.

I have a young son (2 next month)

One of his favourite tv progs is a show on Disney called something like "Big Bears House".

In this show, there is a part where they go looking for a shadow character (called Shadow).

As they look for her, they sing the song :

Shadow, Shadow, where is shadow
Shadow, Shadow, where is shadow
Where can shadow be!

He only watches this if he is sitting with me. I cant get the fucking song out of my head.

currently listening to staind (they sound nothing like limp bizkit in case you were wondering) epiphany is so relaxing and outside is good. Anything by blink182 also American hi fi flavour of the week and feeder.
Currently learning to play whats my age again, all the small things and what went wrong by blink 182, time of your life by greenday and all I want by the offspring on my crappy hohner acoustic.

outside is so easy to play on the guitar, 4 cord wonder on the acoustic, gets a little boring after a while coz its quite a long song with the same 4 cords played in a different strumming pattern, I have tried to spice it up a bit but not to much sucess.
