core 2 duo 6600
8800 gt
4 gb ram
vista 32
audigy 2
22" 1650*1080 LCD

Latest beta clients improved performance by about 50%. Game now runs very smooth depending on action between 80 and 40 fps. All visuals on obscene settings, except no antialiasing.

I am very impressed by the performance. Funcom did a good job.

apparently you need to disable dx 10 for early access, but theres an option for that in settings. Am wondering if ill need to install dx9, aint heard anymore from it though

Seemed to run AoC fine, never had any lag problems in pvp. Although was sometimes a bit of lag zoning into cities and taverns.

E6400/8800 GT/2GB ram/XP/1280x1024 on my 19" lcd

No idea how it will run on full settings but since this one manages to keep Crysis on around 25fps i doubt AoC will be much harder for PC :p

OT: Regarding to post on first page, there's actually something special for DX10?

nice system, how do u rate the 9800gtx?

tbh
I'm not really an OC/Performance freak
So my basis to rate it is just against my 3 year old system ;)

I had one last chance to build something beefy that would last me a few years before I get married next week and my wages start going into a joint account with the "wife" that I will have to justify spending from

compared to the measly 2500 points I used to get with 3dmark06
unclocked 13500 or so points iirc is a huge step up for me

im very happy with the system all in all tbh

A big humming box from the Space Odyssey 2001?

I don't know what's inside it, but it's quiet, a bit too quiet...

Intel E8400 Dual Core,
4GB PC8400 DDR2 RAM,
Nvidia 9800 GTX vanilla

1680 * 1050 (max screen resolution - 22") everything on high, shadows on, etc. Goes smooth with 40-60 fps average. When zoning and entering the big cities it tends to bog down abit.

Spoke with a friend last night who was in the beta for a short while, his rig is lower spec than mine (think he might have lied on his beta app :p):

2 gig DDR2 3200
Radeon 9800
Athlon XP3200

From what i could gather this struggled a bit and almost fell-over in a twitching heap in pvp :)

Think what AOC can loose out on is the high system req unless they got some aces up their sleaves.

Don't they have quite extensive modification parameters? Atleast from what i peeked at the graphics section the game.

Been running the closed beta on and off for a cupple of weeks now. They done alot to the performance both good and bad.

With 2x 8800 GTX ( OCed alot )

E6570 c2d @ 3.5 ghz

4gig Kingston hyperx @ 865 mhz

2x WD raptorx raid 0

x16 af, x16aaQ, 1680*1050, all settings put to highest I currently have 120 fps at some spots and about 80-90 on others. It still needs some more optimization imo since you still get some wierd framedrops at some spots and crashes. Nothing mayor or gamebreaking.

These results is with dx9 since they havn't enabled dx10 into the final performance testing so far ( was in before though so it works and is very pwetty >< ).

The zoning is np if you got a fast hdd or a raid configuration. I load into the game in less then 10 s and when I zone I can just walk right through it while the pictures merge ( nice feature of funcom really ) as there is no load screen.

First week(s) I'm sure we will see some instability and gfx driver issues though.

Givf release already!! :p

Set it to shader 3.0 and you will gain alot of fps. The new cards are not that good at modelling 2.0 shaders.
