Listening to The Mars Volta - De-loused in the Comatorium whole album on repeat now.

Had it a while, its JUST really hooking into me though, good stuff.

I almost made the mistake of saying they sounded alot like At The Drive In :) Just as I realised they are half the drive in gang.

But I agree. Astounding album.

I'm listening to The Jesus And Mary Chain - Stoned & Dethroned. I've had this for ages but never listened, having done a bit of research i found out they were a Creation band in the mid 80s, and Creation in the mid 80s fucking smoked. It's high praise i reckon.

I dunno if this a good album by them or not, i heard Psychocandy is the best.

The Mars Volta - Probably the worst act i've ever seen live, but one hell of an album. The product of LSD fuelled jam sessions...marvellous :p

At this moment in time, Avril has popped her little head up. Since 9pm last night it's been:

Avril Lavigne
Barenaked Ladies
Live
Evanesence
G n' R
Terrorvision
The Offspring
Moist
Nickelback
Metallica
Presidents of the USA
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
Transister

It's amazing how much you listen to on 12 hour shift at work! Roll 9am so I can go to bed!!

Been a fan for nearly 20 years of the JAMC sigh I feel old.

Anyway aye, Psychocandy and Darklands are both fantastic albums. Had a bit of a dodgy period after that but there are bright lights amongst the dross.

In A Hole, Some Candy Talking and One Million Rainy Days are my favourites from those two.

They were excellent live, caused a lot of notoriety in their early days by going offstage after 15 minutes and causing riots by various means. I saw them in Antwerp where they did a Public Image Ltd and played behind a white paper screen with a spotlight shining on it. Audience thought well...they're gonna burst through at some point. When it became apparent they weren't going to all hell broke loose. Quality.

/edit: I'm listening to Franz Ferdinand - Shopping For Blood

Ooh good. I picked it up for £4 in Tesco's yesterday on the basis that I've heard a lot about J&MC but never checked them out.

I forgot how good some of their b-sides are tbh!

Listening to my personalised Launchcast radio station, where it plays tunes, i rate them based on how much I like them and changes what songs it plays accordingly, thus adapting to my music taste. Currently on is Nightmares on Wax - Les Nuits. Relaxing song. If anyone wants a listen of what I like, http://launch.yahoo.com/lc/?rt=0&rp1=0&rp2=1377340264 is where it can be found. Only been using it a day so there may be a few stray crap songs on there.

Listening to Lightning Bolt at the moment, a really kick bottom drums/bass duo.

The amount of sheer noise they can create with two instruments is seriously unbelievable.

I always liked Automatic as my favourite 'Mary Chain album, though Psychocandy is brilliant! Got quite a JAMC collection started :D
