For some reason I was searching through old posts (possibly because of brookys thread about irc and how i used to use it) and as I read through threads I had started and posted in I started to think that I was a bit of a dick. It was almost like looking at someone else.

I'm now 26 and I've changed quite a lot over the last 4 years or so but its only when you look back you realise.

Anyone else seen a change in them self?

I changed a lot as a result of an ex-member of this community who has passed away.

He said some things to me that I hadnt realised, having had a silver spoon up my bottom.

So wherever you are, thank you Ciprizzio.

I daren't look through threads I have created in the past. They are almost all cringeworthy.

Heh, the same thought hit me a while ago.

For some inane reason I googled my very first email address, and up popped some posts I made on a Carmageddon BBS/forum.

Unfortunately that has now gone, along with google's cache and my complete recollection of it, but christ how things change. I'm just glad my reparté of insults and harsh language has improved.

"kryt3n - oh my god what a bunch of smegheads! the filthy twirps have taken out all the blood and replaced the people with green zombies! fucking fuckers!"

It starts to get a little shocking when I sit and think that post was around early 1995 - over 11 years ago. I always thought I was "more mature" as a 15 year old ;)

Don't worry too much, in 10 years time you're going to go through this all over again.

With the startling realisation that you made yourself look an even bigger nob than you did at 16.

*Edit, As Yoni thinks im going to get a good telling off for the above, I would just like to point out i was talking generally and not about any one person in paricular.

I used to participate more back in the day (*RIP Fargate*). My views have changed, and I think my literacy has picked up a bit too. :)

I don't bother as much as before and thus tend to be rather less aggressive, take the Driving thread before I would of pulled people's replies apart but now I just really can't be arsed and tend to let it slide :fluffle:

As for me, I used to use smileys (other than :( which is still acceptable) in a non-ironic way.

But thankfully I haven't for years now so fairly old logs are still not too bad.

My first ever BW post was advising Summo where to get a loan for his famous lady/hairdresser car. I used to type in texting style until Kes bollocked me, it just never dawned on me how shit it was.

I used to have stonking great flame wars with ECA as well, I find him fairly fluffy now though.
