FG RvR was practically impossible last night - alb zerg just steamrolled any fight....annoying

Well seeing as the alb zerg was round Berkstead retaking it from the Mid zerg, if it was fg rvr people wanted why hang about in Hadrian's?

I'd say people whining about their fg fights being "added" on by the zerg is equally "annoying". If you want to have nice fg fights, roam where the zerg isn't.

they're after the kind of fg rvr that involves their 8man gank group flattening a half group, a duo and a couple of soloers running north from bolg (all nicely spread out of course, don't want to tax them too much)

look a "skilled tactic", get a zerg and monster abuse... pure alb skill. :m00:

As opposed to the Mid "skill" of gather a zerg with a shitload of warlocks, and still fail to hold a keep? :drink:

just realised I've been playing this new frontiers lark totally wrong...

here's the press release:

http://www.mythicentertainment.com/press/newfrontiers.html

in particular
New Frontiers, the free downloadable 1 vs. 1 expansion to Dark Age of Camelot, restructures the award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game's 1 vs. 1 combat system, where players from the game's three different Realms vie for supremacy by agreeing to trade keeps on irc, meeting up with friends in other realms, and fighting one another in rigorously controlled 1vs1 or even 8vs8 battles with no outside interference. New Frontiers makes it easier to locate battles so that you can avoid accidentally adding, adds more tactics and diversity to combat, and integrates more concrete bonuses and abilities as rewards for whining about adds and zerging on FHt.

Personally i think last week saw some of the best RVR in ages.

Some people in albion managed to coordinate people better than normally  and were able to lead forses against every enemy incursion, managed to keep / retake our keeps and lead armies abroad to take keeps there... :drink:

Hail to the loyal servants of Arthur !!!

FO to guildwars if you want ballanced fg vs fg action, this is the wrong game for you.

Well as far as I knew the only fgs were around the zerg because they had been trying to take the towers. Maybe we were wrong but the other zones seemed dead...

No I mean fg vs fg - don't know how you came about that warped idea of what fg rvr is

Something to do with a vast amount of experience of how the so-called "fg" fans actu towards soloers/duos/smaller groups?

Yes, all the fgs were loitering round the edge of the zerg...funny how they do that when all they want are fg fights. Even funnier when they complain because their fights get "added on" by the zerg they insist on "roaming" near.

but then again we have those ppl who r roleplayers and wont give away a tower without a 12 hour fight etc.. and those ppl run in 3-6 fg's.. afaik

Actually those roleplayers are mainly warlocks, animists, bow specced archers, and any spec nuker who can get thousands of rps every few minutes in a good keep situation...

But then I fully about the majority FGs with their hilarious double standards.

Well if the zerg is the only real enemy, you know of atleast, then its the only place to go for action. And the fgs whine just like solo'ers do when they try to have 1v1 fights when they know fgs are roaming near...

Btw, when did you become so anti-fg rvr guilds?

I'm not at all anti, infact just last night I was sticking up for them in a bg saying they are good for a realm to have. It's the bitching about people adding on their fights when they are hovering round a zerg that gets on my tits - and yes I agree its no different 1v1s whining in the same circumstances ;)

Basically I just wish folks would get on and play without the shitty attitudes. :)
