For my entire life I have been a "Invert Y Axis" person when it has come to FPS. I just had a quick run around on Battlefield and nothing felt right until I un-reversed the Y-Axis. My brain has turned upside down or something.

HELP!!!!

Inverted Y-axis = people who grew up on sims and technical stuff

I've always used inverted, but playing Conflict Desert Storm with my brother on a console and there isnt an option to change to inverted, so I've got to learn how to play like a normal person!

Its like learning to read and write all over. :<

That's the strange thing. If I'd been playing a game with the axis non-inverted I'd understand it. But this seemed to happen over night.

My days of telling people that use non-invertted y axis that they are the devil's concubines are over :(

I have joined the ranks of the damned.

But, but, but... You're in Australia, of course you would use non-inverted. Anyone using non-inverted in the Northern hemisphere is clearly out of their minds!

push joystick forward = plane goes down
pull joystick backwards = plane goes up

now a real question could be numpad, arrowkeys or WSAD?

I use arrow keys and wasd depenidng on the game.

I use inverted and non-inverted, again depending on the game.

Both are normal, it really does depend whta type of game you are playing and what feels comfortable with it.

X is for the thumb. Shaves milliseconds off reaction times not having to move my finger down.

but surely it takes more than a few milliceconds for you to take your hand off your cock and place your hand on the right keys anyway? :)

I used to play Quake 2 with one. Trying to convince my friends that it was amazing. 180 degree turns in milliseconds from a quick spin of the ball.

Of course I was lying out of my ass. I now use a mouse :)

indeed. I'd expect spinning a trackball while playing would be detrimental in the extreme to one's game :)
