Rules

The game setup is open, and has the following roles

1 Werewolf
1 Werewolf Roleblocker
1 Seer
1 Doctor
3 Villagers

Villagers : the basic good guys, with no special powers
Seer : good guys, with the power to determine one players alignment each night
Doctor : good guys, with the power to protect one player from harm each night
Werewolves : bad guys, they confer each night and decide on one player to eat
Werewolf Roleblocker : additionally the roleblocker can stop one persons night action from happening

Last night, your town mayor, Will, was brutally murdered by werewolves. You know that there are werewolves amongst you, but you have no idea who they are. There is only one way to kill a werewolf around here, a good old-fashioned lynching. However, this is a democracy, so its time to vote. Whoever has the most votes gets lynched. You may discuss this as much as you like.

When you vote, please end your post with vote : lynchee or whoever you want to lynch. If you change your mind, end you post with unvote : lynchee then your new vote on another line. If you don't want there to be a lynching, end your post with vote : no lynch. Please put this in bold to make the mods life easier.

Once you have all voted*, lynching will happen at twilight, and then night will begin. At this point, the thread will close, and night actions will happen (the werewolves may strike again, the seer will investigate one player, etc). Once this is done, it will be dawn, I will reveal the events, and the thread will open again for another lynching.

*a deadline may also be set by the mod if the turn is dragging, or if the result has an overpowering majority.

The werewolves will win if they equal the villagers in numbers. The villagers will win if they kill all the werewolves.

Any postings by non-players will be deleted

Oh my god, I hadn't even turned up at the village yet and already I'm being persecuted. Now, Ch3tan is usually very good at picking out the wolves, so it worries me that he's making wild guesses before anyone has even posted.

As for watching "Being Human" - the main guy in it has really cute sticky out ears, and he makes me want to spit on a tissue and clean him.

I am not making wild guesses before anyone posts though, random was accusing me in irc and it got me thinking about the suspects in this village.

I have yet to vote or accuse anyone.

With such a small village, we cannot afford to sit back and do nothing today. We know there is a seer who can help, and a doctor who can protect them, but neither can afford to reveal themselves so early on.

So I've decided to leave things to fate, on the odds that that as I know I'm a villager, then there is a 1 in 3 chance of picking a wolf.

I don't trust our story teller, she is always talking about crazy things, but maybe she is just a little unhinged. Random and Malch seem to be playing a game though. The only person I trust apart from myself so far is Frizz.... but maybe thats what he wants me to think!

My experience is that people who say they are a villager early on, actually are villagers. Frizz was very convincing with his opening speech about the role of werewolf roleblockers. Ch3tan might very well be a wolf, but I don't want him to be one. Milkshake I'm not sure of - I think he may well be working with TaB, and that is why he was waited so long to post, as TaB (his co-conspiritor) has been absent so far.

Of course, I am always wrong, about everything. I once picked my lottery numbers by choosing the forty three numbers I would pick first, and then the remaining six would be the numbers I would be least likely to ever choose. I figured since I have appalling luck, and the least likely person to ever win the lottery, I could cheat it and use that to my advantage. I paid my pound, and gambled with those last six numbers.

I didn't get a single number.

I think I am the same with wolves. Heads I get burnt, tales I get eaten.

random.org, I just put the list of names of the rest of you in, and asked it to pick one. I don't PM other people when deciding to vote.

I've had a change of heart though, I'm useless at odds and poker, but in hindsight, 1 in 3 isn't worth risking being 2 villagers down and possibly losing someone we need, the doc or seer, so I'm going to abstain for now, and see how things change.

I totally missed this post before, but human sausages aren't my thing I'm afraid.

Sod it, if we don't lynch, the wolves get a free meal, if we do, we risk burning an innocent or someone we really need, but it give us more chance of narrowing down who the wolves are from the remaining people.
