Then fuck off out of the thread?

R.I.P Wendy - you played a great moody Pauline :)

Seriously calm down!

I found she was a poor actress who played characters with about as much interest as a cold half eaten bag of chips.

I met her in London many years ago on a fine summer night in a pub behind Edgeware Road and she was awesome - funny, welcoming and so down to earth.

She was a good example for all people.

R.I.P Lady :(

Oh my god, that statement defies belief. Who cares whether she was a poor actress? It doesn't make her death any less poignant, she always came across as a nice woman to me. Seriously, get a life.

RIP.

RIP.

Well, who cares, in the grand scale, that she died to be honest? If compared to all the people dying every single day, why should someone of a media status be any special?

"Seriously, get a life". Yeah, cause you're god all of a sudden and everyone has to follow your instructions.

People come into this thread and pay their respects or post their opinions like with all threads. I did not different, but the fact I did not give her 'sympathy' or make a nice "R.I.P" reply everyone goes nuts!.

If someone like Bob Dylan died I'd say he's gonna be missed and he's been a great influence for so many artists. Wendy Richards is a nobody just like me. When I die I dont expect people to care hence my original response to the thread.

A very good point. Not like she's Mother Theresa

So you would like someone to piss in your grave?

There is a united practice amoung human beings to show respect to the death and if you have nothing nice to say then get the fuck out (or what you internet kids called it 'GTFO'). You obviously wanted attention because your post was clearly not welcome in this type of thread.

Get a life.

If you don't mind me saying, i don't care what you do with my corpse after i'm gone. To paraphrase a comedian whos name i can't remember;

"Throw it in a lake, burn it, donate it to needy necrophiliacs, i'm gone already."

I prefer to respect the living.

Since when did I say I would or would not like people to piss in my grave?

Also "you internet kids"...stop with the assumptions, I am by no means a 'kid' if that is what you're implying.

Answer me this honestly (I am going to doubt you will to prove a point). When someone dies on the news or someone's death is mentioned in a newspaper, do you really give it as much attention as Wendy Richards death?

I don't feel any emotional attachment to Wendy Richards so when she died I could not care less (because its hard to care for someone you dont know). Becuase she was in a few tv programs and gets media attention, that annoys me because i'm sure there's far more important people/s we should 'mourn'.

I would rather read/hear about a doctor who died, but was responsible for saving lots of people etc, than an actress.

Yes.

And you make some good points, not often I concede an arguement but this one I shall. +rep for you.

Bahumat its more the fact your comments just weren't needed full stop.

Regardless or not of whether you know them - a RIP thread is usually intended for good thoughts & respect.

It's like someone on here dieing then me posting 'lol wtf he was a bit of a cock and always looked so unhappy. what a nobody.'

Appreciated? No.

Actually Bahumat, I don't like that kind of behaviour - there are occasions and/or topics which you should just leave well alone if you have nothing decent to say, so pack it in.

Summed up by Corran:

There a difference between a celeb dying and if someone from the forums dies. Like them or not someone from the forum is actually known by other people of the forum. You be very hard pressed to find someone that was an actual friend or family member of wendy richards that will see any posts here sending their regards.

I dont think anything about her death so i wont comment, i personaly pay more notice to someone losing their life trying to do something then any actor/actress. I never see a post for say, the soldiers dying doing something requested of their country (whichever country they may be) but if a so called celeb dies people expect you to send your best wishes.

Also, if people didnt jump on his back for his response the thread wouldnt have become arguementative and attracting more people in. I ignored the thread until it kept being bumped up by same group of people which gives away the thread been detracted. (and is why it doubtful i respond to any responses aimed at me)
