Missed the Albion Relic Raid yesterday, but when I logged in this morning, 'cause I wanted to know what had happened, I was told that the Albs nearly got the Relic and that the Hibs were Raiding RIGHTNOW !

That was at 7:00am CET ... now it's 17:00, I got a few thousand RPs more, all keeps finally belong to Midgard again and I got a helluva headache from 10h of continous fighting.

We started defending keeps with 8ppl (that was everyone between 30 and 50 who was on at this time). Thanks to Durgi for stalking the Hibarmy, we were able to move to the keeps they were attacking fast and defended them succesfully for some time.
Then we lost track of them just to be told that all hibs were slaughtered by the Jarl-guards infront of Mjolnir Faste.... phew.

All doors were open at this time, 1st door was only at 35% and couldn't be closed.

Short afterwards Motom took a Relic just to be killed by Guards a few secs later, and Melgar put it back ... the defending group in Jamtland was pretty much on the edge 'cause of this.

Soon after we got the message that the servers are going down.
A IRC channel was created, and as soon as the servers were up again, all of us were back. To our relief were all Relic Keep doors back at 100% on lvl10 again.

More and more Mids logged in ... Nottmoor was retaken relative fast, Bledmeer was pretty damn hard.

Yeah we tried another relic raid this morning at 5.30am (!!!) this morning. I somehow managed to drag myself out of my warm bed in front of my computer at 5.25 (am I sad or am I sad ). We had too few numbers to be able to go straight for the relic as the guards would have wiped us out, and it took us too long to capture Bled and Nott. We got wiped in front of one of the other keeps at which point I thought there' be no sense in carrying on so I logged and got some much needed sleep (don't you just love an extra bank holiday).

Last night was scary though. After we recaptured Bolg and Crimthain, we saw that the Alb Strength Relic had gone neutral, so we wiped emain clean of invaders and captured Crauchon. The decision was then made to suicide on the Alb PK and port to Odin's to help the Albs get thru their MG (and stock up generously on RPs of course). Actually managed to kill an Alb that was standing right on the PK door between guards as the we had sufficient numbers for not everyone to be killed instantly. Then we got to the Alb MG in odin's and the only thing that came to mind was "Jeez"... Must've been a 100+ Mids mostly yellow/orange/red. Was slightly surprised that the zone didn't crash (which could've been a nice stategic move), but was reduced to 0.5fps or something (I usually don't get lag so had names and effects all on ) and we got seriously creamed fast.

I'd just like to say a few things regarding the doors (i was the one that repaired one of them from 0% => 30%):

Each level 10 door costs 30-35p to repair, that means it would have costed us about 100p to repair all 3 doors, effectivly ruined the entire realm.. as it stands we got the outter door repaired to 40%, at the cost of 16p.

And i'd just like to remind you albs and hibbies, that when we had attacked your relic keeps, you guys also had the doors reset to 100% for free.. (else they would probably still stand open).. the only difference is that we successfully took the relics, while you failed to do so.

Regarding falling trough the stairs .. it is the client lag/fps that makes you fall trough stairs/roofs... so you can rightfully blame it on Qwegji and his low-end hardware )

well Blood sadly i wish you could claim it was us who failed, but goa ensured we never got the chance, by the time we had our higher lvls in place we got the dreaded servers down in 5 minutes message, we come back and the doors are at 100%. Gee nice to see we even had a shot thanks to GOA then.
The difference is Blood we had our doors repaired AFTER you took the relic.
You however had yours just before we struck, which is why the hibs that were up that early are so miffed off. So stop toting the Mids are uber band wagon please.

This may sound a bit odd, but having looked at the SoTL webpage and seen the screenshot of the tower room at the time of relic theft (or shortly after) I noticed one thing that has yet apparently been missed...

WHY ARE YOU ALL WEARING YOUR SODDING GUILD CLOAKS??

We should all be fully aware that the graphics engine is seemingly based on the original wolfenstein 3d version (sic) and renders *everything* visible or not. Can you imagine the damage that this single factor must have done to everyone's performance?

Great raid, I enjoyed an hour or two sat in RK waiting for it to happen and watching for middies, but in general it was well organised. However group leaders? Next time *make certain* that you pass on the order to remove guild cloaks - it really does make a vast difference, and I know that Nilo would have given that order at the beginning - right?

My PC aint too bad. Was handling it ok, considering the hugh amount of ppl about. Its was the packet loss the made it hard. Even on cable(512Kb) I was nearly always in the red.

Come on, when we have over 100 people in one place, whether they are wearing guild cloaks or not ain't really gonna make that much difference. Personally, I didn't really think the frame rate was that bad, it was still good enough to play properly, just hard to climb stairs quickly.

And you bloody hibbies, i'm glad the doors got repaired automatically, if you want yer bleedin relic, knock the doors down yerselves rather than relying on us Albs knocking em down, then you lot turning up after the work has been done

All you did was walk past a bunch of relic keep guards, too hung over after the recent Great Defence party after repelling us Hibbies to even see mor than a blur, and if you haven't realised, Araudry looks alot like Blood when you have a hangover.

This has never been proven, so the Unity alliance have decided we will all wear cloaks on raids until someone proves this theory

The guild cloaks + lag thing has been proven by anyone with more than 2 brain cells. Trust me, US server mates promise they have tested that it produces lag, if the unity alliance decides to produce a lagfest of a raid with thousands of sub 40 cannon fodder and guildcloaks, good luck to them.

During the relicraid early this week there was some severe lag, so i turned of names shift+n, and dam hell of alot less lag. And set /effects to none, and most of us took of our guild cloaks, and then i could run around and bash you albs....
