It is, at first. Once you get used to it it's so rewarding though


Edit: Also, some of the things we're discussing is nothing you'll have to worry about until higher levels, if at all. Renkei's etc are for those who want to perform just a bit higher - I'm guessing you could do well without them too, just takes a while longer

I am about to install and create in about an hour (after updates).

If you decide to try and get in by re-rolling. Press ESC when it asks you to link your character to a handle. ( this is after selecting allegiance )

Then go to "Delete Character" - if it says your character is on Bismarck - congratulations!

If not, delete it and create a new one.

Wash, rinse and repeat.

If you do not press ESC ( or in any other way abort ) at the handle-link screen you will have to watch the intro movie for your nation over, and over, and over, and... you get the point. ( and no, you can't abort that movie )

in about an hour (after updates).

Grping at 10-12 is kinda sucky unless your a blm.

At 20 grping starts getting real fun, in Qufim, although theres lots of crap grps there.

In Kazham @ 25, almost all the noobs are filtered off.

Character name is Shhy cos I couldn't get Shy Not sure what my plans are for tonight yet, but I'll look for you when I get on.

So, can you only group with peoples exactly your same level? Or do the level gaps change as you get higher?

A grp with more tahn a 2lvl gap is considered gimped.

The mob gives exp compared to what the mob con to the highest lvl in grp.

Also the lowest lvls get a exp penalty.

So, unlike daoc, its actually best exp to be the highest lvl in the grp.

A few more questions while I'm here, and a grumble..

I can't do /who - how do I find out whos online?

The controls are really awkward and I'm finding it quite hard to run, target a mob and attack it fast enough before it runs away. I read something about shortcuts with the alt or ctrl keys - can anyone explain how I do that please?

Cons? Everything I target seems yellow, and when I lock onto the target it's red. So how do I know I can kill it or if it will kick my ass before I go ahead and attack it?

I did have a query about the resolution but I think that was answered in another thread so I'll have another play with that when I get home.

And my grumble............. I really miss jumping

ohh ohh me i know that i know that ! (ofcourse there will be a better way)

select the mob then in the combat menu the last option, i think its check, will show you some text along the lines of (bla bla is tough or bla bla is a challenge ...)


A question from me aswell, how do i use w-a-s-d to move ?
