Well, on the train back home now (posting from iPhone). Just the two of us, a meal at weatherspoons, followed by copious amounts of vodka at what is supposedly one of Englands oldest pubs - some part of the basement dates to 1000 Ad or something.

Anyway, back to hers, lots of lavender and cedarwood massage oil, and well, a gentleman doesnt kiss and tell, but just my luck - she was dissapointed she came on yesterday!

I have no desire to earn red wings, I have to admit. Still, she was biting the duvet a fair bit.

A self conscious one who did not shower before going out?

Good luck Roalith, dont rush into anything and enjoy the moment.

Aaaanyway, now the customary thread slanging match is over with, things are still going great. We're talking for hours on end (admittedly over msn... she actually has a phobia about talking on the phone with people!), and I'm now off to see her again this following Friday and Saturday. I got a text earlier along the lines of "I should really stop talking about you all the time before someone gets annoyed and hits me!"

So yeah, things are going good :D

This is a more and more usual problem these days, with MSN and texts, people are getting more "afraid"(uncomfortable is the better word) to talk to others over the phone, and in public even.

Also smalltalk is suffering because of it.

Just a thing i've noticed :D

Also, people hate it when you don't answer a text right away. It's a text, if it's so important, call

Great that things are going a-o-l...a-o-k!

Yeah, I'd noticed that too - although this is slightly different, an actual genuine phobia/fear of talking to people on the phone, or at least people she doesn't know anyway - she can just about overcome it with people she does know. Kinda cute and shy in a way, but could be awkward if she ever needs to call for an ambulance...

Yeah wasn't denying it just saying as a lil sidenote of the observation :)

Aye what toht said. Quite scary actually how most seem to prefer mobile phone messaging or msn instead of actual calls. To me it feels so distant.

I can see what you mean about that, yeah a phone call is a lot more personal - but can you spend 4 hours talking on the phone to someone? (Or, rather embarressingly, 13.5 hours on Sunday...)

Been chatting with her on MSN every night this week for hours on end. I got told last night that I give her butterflies in her tummy whenever she thinks of me, which just had me sitting there grinning like an absolute loon.

sounds like she is in love with you.
watch out. "in love" is not stable.

Sage advice. I'll bear it in mind.

Anyone would think you're a cynical old hack tris- :p

well "in love" is not stable man. "love" is stable.

in love is the start then makes people go literally insane. all they think about is the object (in this case you). make decisions based around the object. suffer mental and physical changes because of the object.
after so long "in love" will fade, and your left either in tears or with "love". once you have love, you can fall in and out of love with the person many times.
but you cannot last with only "in love".

so be careful ffs.

Aye, the old cynic is right.

Again agreeing with tris-...sigh...

"In love" is also the phase, where most misconceptions of people are made. That "lovely giggle" she has, that makes your heart melt and your feelings boil, later on, might make your shoes melt and your blood boil.

I have the exact same problem as your lady-friend, and let me tell you it's really bad at times. Every little phone call that others do without even thinking becomes a huge project that darkens your whole day/week/whatever until you got it done. And if you actually manage to pull it off in a good way, you get high with endorphines, just as if you climbed Mount Everest.
