Funny how everytime I been in keeptake in hib or midland same fg vs fg supporters turn up to leech and farm the reinforcements. But guess you just looking for fg vs fg fights there also? Or are you guys maybe confused about your mission in the rvr? I mean if you guys attack the "warder" zergs when they try to have fun taking keeps or other stuff where the zerg is consuming most of its powers and not adding your fights. Why you crying about em stopping it and just starting camping places more easily for em to reach and get back to?

Im all up to fg vs fg fights since they can really show the "skills" of some groups. But what you guys want is to fight in peace when you meet another fg and then when you meet randoms you just run over em for the true rp's? Since my guessing is 80% of your rp's come from killing people unable to fight back... It has been said here million of times. Why dont you guys go somewhere else and leave the "zerg" alone? And to save your precious whining time I reply myself and the reply is you wouldnt get rp's for doing that. Maybe it would be challenging and fun but the rp's would be about 5% of your current ones probably...

You dont want a challenge you either want fight where you can blame adds for losing, fight where you can gloat at winning even with enemy having million adds or you want a fight where you farm random epic wearing people thinking they would be better off pve'ing but the problem is you wouldnt get any rp's for fighting against each others only. I mean how many such rvr guilds are there? About 10-15 max? So thats 80-maybe 200 people of you there 30-80 each realm. You run daily 3-8 hours in rvr? So you would have about 1-2 enemy groups most of the time to fight against...

Well you guys can say what you like but without the random people rvr'ing out there you would be nothing in the long run and in my eyes you are less than nothing each day passing by. Making stupid comments, abusing people, calling people names, lying, cheating, doing all you can to get the rp's, whining, being crying babys and arranging these kind of events what you did today and there is no doubt about it you guys did it outside of the game communication channels... In my eyes you are just people playing this game to get "glory" and you judge people by whos making most rp's and using the latest cheats there is. I really do hope for your sake you are not like that in the real life and this is just your alter ego for the FH/daoc community...

its not about skills, its about whats fun, i dont care if we lose after a 40min fight as long as its even and fun and even FG fights is the only reason im still playing. zerging is old news not that fg fights isnt but zerg is so easy and original and been around since the day daoc came. Nice FG fights are rare but when you have them its so fun that is works as fuel to pve for 1 month.

Tonight there was RvR going on for at least an hour with only 1 full group of organised Albs running around.. Cloudz group I think. The only other group of any size was the one I was in, 6 in it of which one was a bb and another was a 41 heretic. There were maybe about another 6 or 7 albs around. When you decided to invite the Mids over (was it the other way around?) for 'Alb and cucumber sandwiches' Cloudz group had logged out, leaving an alb zerg of.. um... hold on, do you define a group of 6 Albs as a zerg now? Are we THAT good?

So please stop spouting so much crap about how you 'need' to ally with the Mids to compete with the Albs.

I don't see realms forming crap RP farming pacts like this often, but every time I do it kinda makes me uke:

And if RPs are that important to you, don't you think it's wise to think long term? No farmable gimp pallies like me running with an armsman and no speed = no RPs for you seeing every other Alb ever created always joins the 50 strong battlegroup zerg when they RvR.

Why take this all so seriously? When this started, it seemed to me there was around 2fg albs in the beno area, mids+hibs total was about the same. They just teamed up against the stronger enemy (granted, they were much better organized groups than albs were). No idea how it was in the end tho, logged myself since I find fighting the bridgecampers really boring and it was all there was left.

What comes to this being gank grps farming easy rps etc... I've played plenty in many kinds of groups and believe it or not, the random groups/zergs are much more RP horny. They never think twice about engaging if they see an enemy, no matter what the situation is while many gank groups respect fair fights especially if their own realm is involved. Ofc I'm not saying gank groups don't care about rps, just that if they could pick between fighting a randomgrp or another gankgroup, they would pick the later and if not, they just suck.

Hehe, i think Alyssania hit the nail there. Personally, i haven't really RvR:ed in ages now, and by the looks of these posts i will keep staying away from it. Oh well.

Perhaps the leet kiddies will have fun in empty frontiers where they can test their skills against the other 8-16 people of like minds from other realms. I imagine they'd have to setup meeting places on IRC beforehand then, in order to find the other groups of kiddies to play/duel with. Or perhaps they will grow bored and say "RVR is dead" when all the normal gamers are enjoying PvE or other games instead, and the easy RPs are gone and there's nobody left to blame when you lose one of those hard-to-find fights against another uber leetz0r group.

Time will tell.

Like Alyssania, i don't mind group vs group fights at all. They can be a lot of fun. BUT, i also love a good zerg from all realms, big armies moving around trying to take keeps, towers, and more emphasis on strategy, tactics and discipline, working as a team with more people than just those that show up on your group bar. Looks like those days are long gone though, and for some reason some people think it's a BAD THING and therefore have to resort to shady methods in order to get their enjoyment. Sad.

In my opinion - if you are outnumbered, get your own damn zerg instead of cahooting with the enemies. Or use guerilla tactics. Or go elsewhere and hope other gank groups will too so you can have your "fair fights" there. Show some brain skills, not just "who can throw the best whines and act the coolest on FH" skills. And if you're NOT outnumbered but still resort to shit like we've read about in this thread, then i have nothing to say to you other than stuff that doesn't go well on a forum.

Oh by the way, what did roleplaying have to do with this topic and why was it used as an argument? Just out of curiousity.

I'd be interested to hear from the Guildleaders of both Legacy and Maelstrom however, as it seems to be (an assumption on my part perhaps) between members of those respective guilds the comunications took place. I'm wondering if they have any sort of official standpoint on this subject? Would be nice to be answered in the negative and be told their guilds won't be involved again....

I was there so can tell what happened. Osril came to the bridge with Boooom and saw hibs fighting albs. I though great I got backup and whacked 1 of the hib casters. Got raped there and mids just stood a bit back not adding to the fight.

Next time I killed some hib that wasnt in the group and got killed by the group.

Came back and helped some hibs from a few albs. Didnt get touched. Though wow this is fine by me. As long as you wouldnt try anything fancy like kill a hib you could have merry fun with the albsies. Though I didnt stay there and killed about 15 infil guards inside beno next to get 1 DI bb inside a few times.

And yes they did it prolly just to piss albs off. Just like when they left the DI tower hugging albs pissed me off later on.

Imo it was 1 of the biggest roleplaying setups in a while.
