People that play different realms on the same server are in a position to spy if they wanted to; they are in a position to take sides over Legion raids, relic raids etc .. if someone they didn't like was organising one of these they could spoil it utterly for the other people in the one realm.

Aye i agree they could, but as had been said before anyone could have two accounts without people knowing.In situations like this where Dook has come forward about it and not tried to hide the fact he will be playing another realm i feel there isnt really a problem.I myself only would worry about those that felt the need to keep it a secret but that may just be my paranoia playing up.

<sigh> I didn't say you, or even Dook, are spies ... simply that playing in two realms on the same server puts you in a position to do those things. It isn't by an accident of coding that Mythic stopped us from multi-realming on the same account you know

Like Kait says, the real problem is people who do it in secret ... but just because someone admits to doing something outside of the CoC doesn't make it all A okay in my book.

In any event Dook is doing this the 'right' way by putting his other character into stasis.

Postscript: a chap on the recent relic raid was playing in a net cafe, and a Hib player was looking over his shoulder at the time. Not clever - but who was at fault? If anyone?

if your Midgard account is to remain dormant then I see no issue here - Chronicles or Duskwave etc will show when you log on which gives Albion GMs an easy way to keep an eye on you if they choose to do so. Of course, lending your account to someone else to play would be against the CoC, so I am safe in assuming that wouldn't be the case

In fact - let the dust settle and the Midgard account gain inactive status over the next week or two and if you need aguild we may even be able to give you a home...

Remember that thing Dook said about staying unguilded?

Well he is now a member of The Dragon Senate and we have welcomed him with open arms. (but closed /as of course lol)
It was not me who he approached but I am glad he chose us. He will be an invaluable source of information, such as where Solid keeps the key to Bledmeer so we don't have to bust down the doors.

Just kidding, that would be wrong to ask.

But we did debate this issue for quite a while before we decided to give him a chance. We will be watching his account activity on the daoc chronicals site, as that is what any smart guild leaders would do. But you know what, he was willing to come out and subject himself to our *Albion* abuse so why not give the guy a chance.

For those of you who still have suspicions, well even if he was unguilded he can still do a /who sauvage, etc to see where everyone is. So better to let him join a guild, giving him a reason to feel trusted and in the process you end up with a happy and loyal realm mate.

Besides, if he wanted to be a real threat he would have tried to join LoE or SOTL, not us, LOL!!

I say give him a chance and prove Albion is a decent and good realm. *oh goodness I almost said that with a straight face*

I am sure from time to time he might log on to say hi to old friends or hand out things he has in his storage. But it would be naive of me to not want to know what he was up to. He is aware of this and still wanted to join us. I certainly won't make him account for every played minute of every day on every account. But obviously if his Mid char is gaining rp and still active, well then of course I have reason to be concerned. He said he has stopped playing his mid account so we are willing to believe him.

So far he has given us no reason to doubt his intentions, and I look forward to helping him become the great sorceror I know he will become.

My account runs out on the 10th, I'll be logging in every now and again and giving out ITAMZ!!!111 etc until then but I will not be renewing after that. I may go out for one last Emain RvR on the 9th but TBH it'll probably reinforce the bad feelings I have towards Midgard.

Whether or not I keep the account active is easily checked so that pretty much solves that problem.

Thanks to TDS for taking me in! I don't feel entirely comfortable being in a guild and knowing that I am in the position to leak info, so I tend to ignore /gu and I doubt I'll talk much until my Runies account has run out. I mean, I know I'm not here to spy but others may not have as much faith in me as I do. That's to be expected and I have quite a struggle ahead of me if some people continue to have attitudes akin to a few that I have encountered ingame other the past few days.

My Sorc is at level 13 ATM, I've been tinkering about with various pets, spells and tactics and so I haven't levelled that fast but I am really anjoying myself.

I've been exploring and today I plan to go to this Barfog place be scared. I'm also on the lookout for any Sorc levelling guides so if anyone has any please let me know
