depends if you download the client or not you can have one language client with another language server messages (which is what happens when you log in to say Lyonesse with an english version) - which interestingly has some odd things like not being able to climb walls and stuff.

No one who has an Italian account can play on the other EU servers.

No one who has an EU account can play on the Italian server.

Eventually the Italian and EU accounts will all be merged together and then everyone will be able to play on all the servers. Of course when that happens the Italian server will be runnnig the same version as all the other servers.
