Weird one - Monitor?

Guys,

seem to have an intermittent problem with my monitor.

connected to my graphics card via both DVI and VGA connectors (makes no difference)

occasionally, when I have left the pc for a while or switching pc on, the monitor reports "no signal being received) and remains blank.

I can hear occasional "clicks" as if there is something up with the power. im sure its the monitor playing up (mostly cos I fancy a new monitor) but could it be the gfx card? (GeForce 7800 GT)

Possible but I'd say it's more likely something to do with the monitors power supply, often a dry joint on LCDs. Got a laptop or anything you can test the screen on?

switch your pc off disconnect anything thats plugged into your monitor, speakers, usb conns if your monitor has them and dvi//vga then switch the monitor off an on iff its cliking then its the monitors psu
