Weird death

We were outside the Hib TK around midnight in BG1, and a Norseman appeared to fall out of a tree and die next to us.
Is this possible, or just a bug, if it is who was it ?

Own up you Middy tree hugger.

Actually I think his name was Phiantios or something like that.

This could be totally wrong but we couldn't find anyone who'd killed him and no death maessage came up.

I have seen a similar thing when hunting, one of my friends went LD but as they were moving there char carried on running, by chance he just so happened to run into a tree and for some bizarre reason ran on top of it, fell off and lost a bit of health from it before disappearing due to the LD.

Perhaps a similar sort of thing happened with this chap and he was close to dying anyway so the tree finished him off.

Slightly embarrising though for the norsemen, to get owned by a tree...
