arsenal not doing too good! despite their win over man utd and with aston villa doing so well could they challenge for a champ league spot?

and could this finally be liverpools season in the prem? :p

or are chelsea still too strong? (starting to look like those two with man utd trying to catch up now)

I dont know every year i think arsenal will surely have to do well this season....im a united fan but realisticly i dont think they are going to win this season unless Chelsea and pool start dropping points fast....wel mostly chelsea because it ite enrage some people but i think luck has had a part in they're points this season and i dont think it can last and i think they will drop off at some point a little....chelsea though...they just look too strong.

Arsenal will not win the league until they can learn that playing beautiful football all the time, will not win you the league.

Chelsea will win this season i reckon.

This weekends games: I only watched Liverpool. Was a nice match, even if Bolton took over a lot in the second half a 0-4 or 0-5 was closer than Bolton getting any points.

And Keane keeps sucking, such a relief it was to see Torres back in action :)

I felt sorry for bolton. if they went in at half time at 1-1 then been a different game and they may have scrapped something. Poor referring there as if anything it should have been a penalty. But that just normal referee decision when a goalkeeper is concerned.
Drives me mad to see that goalkeepers are allowed to push people out the way, throw them to the ground or run straight through attackers and not get punished, however a attacker sneezes in the goalkeepers direction it a foul. (rant over :p )
Liverpool have had a lot of luck I feel this season in many games, this often can be a sign that a time will become champions. However there that chance that their luck will run out and they will begin to drop. I hope so as Man Utd are closing in on the number of titles won so cant have them adding to our target. So rather if anyone other then us win it then it would have to be chelsea (would prefer arsenal but dont feel they can do it)

Man Utd were the main game that i watched at the weekend. Was actually a walk in the park. Sometimes worry about the amount of chances we miss though, cost us at arsenal. But rather miss lots then not make any.
Also shame to see that Tevez appears to have lost that spark and i unfortunately think that we may no longer sign him on a permanant deal. I was one those people that didnt think it would work with him and rooney however it did. Berbatov comes and i cant help but feel the fact that he been dropped out the team so much has affected his confidence to the point that he lost a lot of his effectiveness, he didnt even chase around as much as he used to (gf nicknamed him ChoCho in the past for a laugh as says he runs around like a steam train ;p )
With all that said, Stoke didnt even bother turning up offensively which made the game a bit dull at times.

Arsenal were shockingly poor from the highlights that i saw, this is always been their problem. In the big games they are often very good. I believe this is however due to how much more open the game is. It allows them to play their style of football more. When Eduardo is back they may become a bit better when things aint going their way as I cant help but feel they missing their fox in the box.
When they playing mid table teams i always worry for them (well not to much as rather them not win) as they only have two modes. 1) rip teams apart with lovely football or 2) lose but play some nice football. They need to add the 3rd mode of digging out a win with scrappy football when cant play own game.

Chelsea look strong still, so much strength in depth that it doesnt matter how many injuries they have there still should be an experienced side that full of international players. Definate force to reckon with and with them playing more offensive football they look a better team then in many years. Whats happened to Anelka though, always saw him as someone struggling to find the barn door but in the last few weeks he been on fire.

Loving the fact that the relegation scrap goes from 6th to 20th. There no derby this year so should be great at both end tables all way through.

This time last season Arsenal were top and everyone was claiming they would win.

8 points before xmas is not much, whoever is top come the end of January will probably win, but there are a lot of games between now and then.

Arsenal can still win the league (maths wise) but i do not think we will unless we buy in January. As much as i like Denilson and Diaby i do not think either are good enough YET. I think we need a 30 - 31 year old Defensive Midfield General to come in and let Cesc have the freedom he needs to play his best football.

We are screwed either way though we have some great talent waiting in the wings Vela Ramsey Wilshire Simpson ect but if Wenger shows them faith and gives them first team games and we lose the league he gets blamed for not buying players. If he does go out a buy players which means the youngsters leave he gets the blame for trying to ruin them. He really can not win.

Title race will be over for Utd and Arsenal in next 2 weeks I reckon.

Arsenal will lose to City and Chelski away. Utd will lose to Villa and City away.

Chelski will win title by about 10 points.

I think there's a lot of speculation here and being a Liverpool fan myself, I am apprehensive about making any statements regarding the title. Liverpool fantastically spiralled into despair against Tottenham on two occasions. Chelsea haven't exactly lit the game alight in the past few games and I would still tip them not to take the CL as I don't think they have managed to lift their fingers off the self destruct button yet. I look forward to this thread when we reach February as I believe that's when the picture will be far more clear.
