No offence to people that get married in online games, but im with sickofit, i used to see peeps on UO getting married alot etc.. and i think its kinda fucked up, especially how in RL half these people are married hehe.

I'll stick to being a loner and just kill peeps :>

Hmmm... I will make an exception for Gubmor and old.pebr and shall be the bestman.

Male-female, female-female (as seen in EQ ... *cough*), male-male... troll-dwarf... I don't really care.
Ingame marriage is odd. How silly that is:D

Ok nothing personal here but, This is a form of RPG – that would translate Roll Playing Game did Any one ask for your opinion sickofit/target well I really should re read the post but this has nothing to do with you two,

Personally I should not post this but Gwaen/Gal is a dear friend and your post is discrimination, this really dose not concern you what so ever and sickofit you maybe best keep your opinions to your self next time – infact looking at 85% of your post seem totally immature and seems you like to twist into a flame some may agree some may bid against.. I don’t really want to know ok
Target I can hear what you are saying but... remember why people play the game remember the sort of people who play ok it would be a bit strange if to guys married that dident play a female char or even roll played I agree
I personally don’t roll play I will do to the extent respecting some one who dose by playing along.

On that point there are many forms of roll playing, Each to there own level and getting married in game would be classed as one of them if you feel you think its gay – or if you cant respect roll players, then really you should find another game that may not have a 1’2’1 communication, this is a game where people have feelings/personality and ok.. That’s what’s so great about it but over stepping, that respect is immature especially when posting it on a public board.

Should I be surprised? Should you be surprised?
This is a public board? Or did I miss the private conversation sign?

Post it on your guild forum if you want to avoid comment of any kind.

Roleplaying... where is it? No one is really roleplaying in this game really. I've seen Firbolgs speak like elven courtiers, Mercenaries act like paladins, Paladins acting like sell swords... there is no such thing as roleplaying on the european servers. And the rping guilds? LOL If you think some in-game marriage with romantic keep taking after is good roleplay - fine.

Please don't start with the self proclaimed, dedicated rping guilds... it's mostly shakespearian blabber. I've met only a few good rpers so far.

I think in-game romance (especially if you have a partner in rl...) is gay and has nothing to with rping. There... now go and get all worked up over it.

... ok so it's a leading question, but did I qualify in this category when you knew me?

That's a clear 'yes' - and so is the good Lady Lunar.

And yes, I know you guys are an in-game couple. ;)
I was referring to the 99% percent non-roleplayers who have to get married for some peculiar reason... and whip out the "it's good roleplaying" whenever questioned or critizised.
*takes a deep breath*

Don't let in-game weddings wind you up Sicko :)

Maybe they do not qualify as roleplaying to you, but there is no clear definition to that term.
You have on many occations stated that this game needs a certain amount of diversity and I am sure that you know as well as I that most of that diversity is something you will have to create on your own.

Ingame weddings is one way to do so. It is an easy event to create, it can hold a great ammount of drama and it will gather all of your friends in one spot. You can even be as lucky as to get a visit from Kemor or some of his nasty friends ;)

In game, I am married to Cauton. I am not a roleplayer and I never will be - I tried to for a long time (that was when I got married to Cauton) but I am a horrible actor and Ziera is based mostly on myself. Her being married to Cauton has led to alot of funny situations though - being an envious wife is a hoot! :p
