Wedding Ceremony

I'm probably signing my own death warrant for posting this here but somewhere deep within i hope both Albs and Hibs will respect this ceremony and NOT attack while we're conducting it.

Helis and Veruca are going to get married IRL on september 27th, 2003. We wanted to share this experience with as many friends as possible and alot of midgardians have become our dear friends over the last couple of months. Therefor we'd like to invite you all WITH guests to a wedding ceremony at the one and only (for now) relic keep midgard has.

Time for this event will be set to FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th - exactly 1 year before the IRL wedding. We will gather at the portal in Svasud Faste at 22 pm CET (21pm BST), and then move up in group to Mjolnir Faste where the strength relic (Thor's Hammer) is residing. Ceremony starts at 22.30 CET.

Clothing
=================
All male representatives are asked to wear black, charcoal or grey, no cloak and no helmet, please.

All female representative have no restrictions, the bride will announce her colors later. Same thing there, no helmets and cloaks.

Weapons
=================
No weapons or shields visible, it's a wedding. Staffs are allowed if you are a casting class.

Ceremony
=================
During the ceremony there will be no spellcasting, talking (except chatgroups) we are in a "church"... "/em" are allowed within limits Ceremony will be performed in "main" chat so don't spam it please. After the ceremony, spellcasting is allowed to celebrate the newlywed.

Gifts
=================
If you have any gifts, please remember that it's a healer (43) and a thane (41) . No money thank you. If you insist on giving money, please support your local newbiefund at Vasudheim, Fort Atla and Galpen.

Pictures
=================
After the ceremony we'd like to have everyone there to gather outside the keep for a big photosession, still no weapons, shields, cloaks or helmets (unless we're being attacked).

Party
=================
In good old midgard style, after the party all the dwarves will hand out free mead and then we sing a couple of songs and head for the closest alb/hib owned keep and take it to remember this occasion and it would be very nice to claim a keep (1st time) with New World Order so I hope you all can come.

Albs/Hibs
=================
At 23.00 CET you are free to come and get us, so we only ask for 1 hour peace at our relic keep.

you all are welcome, no special invitations for special people, tho Helis and Verucas wedding are special on its own . Just show up and bring some respect for the ceremony and follow what the ppl in charge of the respective events say and it will be an special moment for all of us.

Afterwards we go reclaim our lost keeps .

I'd just like to thank everybody who showed up and of course our fellow guildies in New World Order who arranged a real viking wedding. It was beautiful.

The party after, taking a keep was great fun. Shame it didn't work with the /gc claim thing... :/ But we took it and therefor it was ours for a while before the hibbies came around.

Thank you for all presents, best wishes and pm's that me and Veruca got.

Our best of wishes to Whoodoo and Drugs to their wedding, we just heard of it while we had our rehearsal so we couldn't make it, sorry.

I was unable to give a thankyou speech after our ceremony on Friday night, mostly as I was overwhelmed with private messages from people and guilds, some who were at the ceremony and some who couldnt make it but wanted to wish Helis and I their congratualations.

So I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone now.
I would like to thank all the people who attended our wedding ceremony on Friday 27th September, and to those people who were unable to attend but sent Helis and myself private messages. You all made our wedding a memorable event.

I would also like to thank our wonderful guild, New World Order for their support, encouragement and gifts. They really are a great bunch of people.

A special thank you to Ograt our viking celebrant, for his research and effort, he did a great job.
Indra for being my Fastnandi, for her support and who looked beautiful in her bridesmaid outfit.
Olaus for his rather dazzling and spectacular purification spells, Courtina for her sweet voice, who made a lovely Mansongar (fair song maiden).
Krusha for his postion of Head of Security/Bouncer, he did a wonderful job making sure that the roads where safe for the wedding party to travel to Mjollnir Faste, and keeping the ceremony under control.

And least but never last my friend Desert, who at my bride price ceremony increased the bid for me by 200 gold making Helis pay 230 gold more than he expected.
