Im sure ive read this before on here somewhere but just cant find it.

Anyway my friend is wanting to get on IRC from UNI but they bloke IRC traffic. What options does he have seeing as though they only allow http and msnm traffic?

Web based IRC somewhere?

Can't you use port 8000 or 8080 with some Quakenet IRC servers, on mIRC?

Yeah I think multiplay.uk.quakenet.org allows this.

Not sure if he access to them ports though, will have to ask.

I thought they were just normal internet browsing ports or something. I dunno. I wasn't listening too much when people were talking about it.
