Weaponcrafters and respec

I'm looking for some weaponcrafters to do some Arcanite LW for me. With the respec I'm going to be shifting my champ to LW for the higher damage but I'd prefer to use player crafted weaps as the damage is so much better with the higher qual you get with them. (The only other option is legion drops which are as rare as hens teeth)

As far as I know Ortunga is the only weaponcrafter that is above 1000 and so can make those nice arcanite weaps but I have not seen him in game for a while and the Armory website where I usually order my weaps from is no longer up.

Is there anyone out there that could make me the following:

Arcanite Great Sword (97%+ qual prefered)
Arcanite Sledgehammer(same qual as above)

The patch is still a few weeks away but at the moment I'm stuck with the Azure Avenger and not much else.

The base skill to make an arcanite great sword is 995, and for an arcanite sledge hammer it's 1015. You'll have to be patient.

Ortunga did post a plea to budding weaponcrafters to help him out as he was getting swamped with /sends in game especially after the marked Angel site went down (a real pain as I was getting some orders from that as well). I know a lot of people want to get hold of him as they are after some high quality gear for RvR.

Anrhefn must have done well this weekend as he was on 930 Saturday morning when I spoke to him.

The main reason there are not more is that to get to Ortunga skill probably costs somewhere in the region of 20 platinum pieces.

I am now 651 so am on the road from being a moderately skilled and rich weaponcrafter to becoming a higher skilled but poor one! Any orders for sapphire daggers, falcatas or lower though please /send in game.

I'm slowly getting there (986 now). Hopefully by the time we get the patch, I should be 1000+.

As you don't need them while patch 1.52, I would wait for then to order the weapons as in 1.52 the qua chance goes up from 94-99 to 94-100. Doesn't sound much but that extra chance of a masterpiece will pay dividends.

I'm bumping this to the top again in the blind hope it may pay dividends. As Goa have stated that the patch is due at the end of october (*coughs*....yeah right!) I don't want to be spending too much time using a 91% qual 25% bonus DF hammer.

Can anyone make any of these items apart from the elusive Ortunga?

Anrhefn can make them, although the sword probably won't be higher than 97% quality and the hammer 95%.

Yes, I can make them, but as Alrindel says, I could probably get 96qual max and there would most likely be some retries involved. Not cheap, and no guarantee of 97 qual either. In the next patch any weaponcrafter above 1000 skill will be able to make all weapons and acheive a mp from it, but the chance is still 1 in 50 so will cost a fortune for one of them. I've heard prices at about 15x price for a mp.

So if we were doing 15x material costs, you'd be looking at 3.63 plat for a MP Arcanite sledge hammer.

Scary! Imagine how scary it is for the crafter if he sets that price and has a string of bad luck, not getting a mp in the average time. It could bankrupt him.

Lum is 1015 now
