We Did It!! Hib Rule!

Yay! GJ to all Hibs that joined the assault on Caer Caledon
We killed all Albs( the total of 1) and all mids (3 or 4)
They didnt stand a the wrath of Hibernia
We started off getting about 20 ppl and getting the keep was pure simple since noone ever came to defend it, anyhow we would have killed the defenders. The siege lasted a bit long tho since we only had 1 ram, but as fast as we got another one up we moved in and died
But there is allways a secound chance, but this time a bit more organised.
Once again, good job and the main thing is that we did it.
Now we just have to keep it....

btw. More ppl needed in Caledonia! we need daily keep sieges like the good old days. The good old days yes....Stop making a char, get it up to lvl 24, and keep it there as ur char ONLY for Thidranki.

Darn it...

Wish I'd known...I thought it was going on on Saturday night but no one was there. All it takes is a few people to start regularly going there and wordwill soon get round and hopefully BG2 and BG3 can be as much fun as BG1 is.

if people stop having 1 damn char for bg 1, yes its possible.
Anyway bg 1 must b the place filled with most assasins...

So delete ur lame thidranki char, make a new one and exp him/her all the way to lvl 50 and visit all bgs.

Thidranki (in my opinion) is the best part of this game, I'm not alone in this. It will be hard to get people to take the time out to level their chars when most of them feel that they are playing the best part of the game now.

Yeah, take the char upto 35 and stay in Cale

If people enjoy Thid let them! Thid is the best BG as everyone knows the other two are empty so they stop at level 20-24

Im not saying u should exp urself to 35 and stay there, im saying u should exp ur lvl 24 higher. Thidranki sux, for the main reason that there r 1000 abilities/spells that u havent got.

Anyone remember how full Caledonia was after the patch?
I was gone for a month or so, and when i come back its empty..
Why?
Because Mids and Albs found out that they wouldnt get their ass kicked by lowlvl hibbs

i had a ball

in caledonia with my troll skald on the way through to level 43 (halted-semi retired)

thing is tho, alot, and i do mean ALOT of the people who play thidranki, are, for a number of reasons biding time. here i think are the reasons why thid is full and caledon is empty.

1. alot of players can only hop on and hop off, without extended play stretches - this favours levels 1-24, as a decent gain can be made in an hour, as against levels 24-35 where things (begin) to slow down, xp wise.

2. variety, again linked to the above, i can level, cap and play 2 characters on thid, in the time i can get 1 character to caledonia, and more than 2, than the time it takes me to get to 50. i like the variety of trying a SB, then a zerker, and soon a runie.

3. PvP alot of people are not investing (me included) in anything beyond a BG alt, until they find out PvP server is great, or a crock of shit.

these are some of the reasons why thid is always full, caledon is always empty. im a commited BG player, i love it, and without thidranki, i think i would have left DAOC, as it stands, im having a ball.

Mack said it all, thats exactly what the problem is.

And to be honest once PvP gets boring a lot of people who havent yet will be leaving the game. The chances of caledonia ever beign as populated as it was just after patch are very slim, might as well level past it and train up your zerging abilities.

* BTW Xoz here is my fourth BG char so im possible one of those bastards who are ingoring well over half the game just to play BG's and i have to say its very enjoyable. *

Yeh it was pure ownage, OWNAGE of the treehuggers

Somehow a totaly undeffended keep lord owned 20Hibs.......

After that when the hibs came back was like 3mids all gimpy lvl 31 and the guards at the Keep gave the hibs big problems

TY for the 250RPs and TY a million for taking the keep !!! now MABY there will be more then 1 person in Cale
