If you wanna include skill: try using guard. That requires skill; not pressing 1 button to grapple, or for that matter, bodyguard.

i swear youve got dumber recently man. of course i use gaurd.

i have F1 as bodygaurd, F2 as gaurd, F3 as intecept, F4 as engage. unless the MA train is split, il put bodygaurd gaurd and intercept on the caster, and then engage the MA trying to hit him. but if you think thats enough to instantly stop damage, you obviously dont play a shield tank.

Intercept will soak the first mainhand hit, but then its up to gaurd, and shield is useless against Duel wield at the best of times. bodygaurd can take up to 5 seconds to kick in, and if the caster is making slight movements (a habit i notice people find it very hard to break) its even longer.

grapple can stop that caster getting killed before it kicks in. thats what i use it for. like i said, nothing against grapple, i just thing it would be fairer to put it on a 1minute+ timer. and that i basically already adhere to that rule even though i could spam it constantly. but thats just me

A) if you slam someone, theyve then got a minute long immunity to slam. whereas if you grapple someone, you can grapple straight after? please tell me you know about slam stun immunity. it would be an afront to mankind if you managed to grapple your way to whatever RR you are currently without knowing somehting as basic as that.

B) only an idiot would slam a MA train tank. Any banelord worth his salt would start spamming snaring tendrils as soon as he had stun immunity, which fucks over your caster even more.

i make a point of not using slam on the main assist due to common sense, unless 1) i know them to be idiots who dont have the intelligence to take advantage of stun immunity 2) its near the end of the fight either way, and im desperate 3) theyre not banelord.

Not to mention det5 is going back 55% and there's stoicism. Bet it'd be a lot more challenging for you. Same way a caster setup group would risk being interrupted a lot easier. So as you see there's 2 sides to everything.

I'll remain by my previous statement. Is about how players manage to see it through the adversities in the end.

good one fucktard... let me explain it to u in simpler terms
if i grapple somebody i cant
1) heal
2) resurrect
3) use twf
4) interrupt
5) use vehment renewal
6) use anger of the gods
7) use any of my artifacts

so yeah i luv grappling, u run into a good gg and the fight is decided in the 1st 10 seconds (grapple lasts about 8 secs for me) and u worry about stun immunity timers wtf u been fighting, grappling a good assist train is pointless, but grappling a bunch of noobs all over the place isnt.... btw u ever try slamming a mage? i know if wardens had protect 3, slam and bg/grapple i wouldnt be whining
