WD external HD driver!

I just bought a 500gb WD HD with the product number WD5000CO.. On the box it says Plug n' Play, so I thought "fair enuff, that sounds easy, even for a tit like me!"

Got home, plugged it in and the installation pops up.. Hmmz okay! I try to install it, but I'm in need of a cd with a driver on it! *Checks box.. No CD! Checks desk... No CD! Search internet.. Lots of drivers, but have no clue which one to use!*

I call upon thee Freddies to help out a silly foreigner!

I also went to Western Digitals homepage and found all these drivers and what not, but I have no idea which one to use!


Please help me out

remember when i was trying to install a secondary hard drive and asked this lot *peers at FHOTers* for help...then promptly blew up my pc?

i'll tell you what you should do, go out find a power drill, and a 4 year old and give the kid the drill and tell it to fix your thingymebob....it wont work but if you tape it your guarenteed a spot on youtube for the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I have an exactly like yours CorNokZ, but mine actually got overheated when i had it on overnight too many times. It didn´t work for a time after that, froze when it got too hot etc.. but now it works fine. Just so you know ;>
