due to mars' atmosphere water evaporates to quickly to provide a proper water sorce... they didn't find water, they found were water once was(they could see the residues and shit)

my personal theory is there was a hair on the lens or something and they mistook it for water:p

they seem to think its water based on the gulleys that they have found which could have been caused by water, however other scientists are saying that it was actually liquid co2. Prolly life underground though, but like microscopic stuff.

Someone probably sneezed on the lens and forgot to clean it

I saw this pictures a million times, but because it was old and no one actually post it anymore I thought it was the real deal.

Right. This is FH I forgot.

While Mars is certainly interesting its Europa, a moon of Jupiter, that really holds hope of us finding non-terrestrial life in this solar system. It has huge oceans of water under its icecovered surface, heated by volcanic activity on the bottom.
