Rorschach was cool and Dr Manhatten was a good char imo but night own... um was he supposed to be a wussy batman rip off? I never read the comic so don't know the background and the girl super tits or whatever she was called...wtf was with her? worst hero ever.

film was too long, a bit dull tbh best bits were with Rorschach but i never actually got where their hero powers came from? I mean from what I could gather there was just a bunch of people who decided to fight gangs in costume (I got where Dr Manhattens powers came from lol). I was a bit disappointed tbh becasue i'd heard everyone raving about it.

glad i didnt pay to see it was what i said when it finished

That was the point, they werent super heroes, only people in capes

Dr Manhatten was the only person with proper super powers. Rorschach was actually mental

Wasnt superhero powers tho. The only person to have above human powers was Manhatten. The comics show it better than the film. The cape names were also passed down through families too.

Comedian was hard, and ruthless. I liked him

It was a long way from "crap". The production values alone, the special effects, the use of music, all make it stand out from the rest. I preferred the ending of the film to the book, and enjoyed the dark feel of the film.

Much better than Sin City and 300, but it would have benefitted from a bit more dialogue and a bit less sex.

oooh you in biiig twobble!!! :twak: *complicated twisty martial arts thingy* haaaai yaa! :twak:

firstly, special effects (imo) do not make the movie, as this one showed you can have all the nifty sfx in the world but if the story isn't strong enough it doesn't make up for it (fur coat and no knickers I think is the expression) sin city and 300 imo both owned the pants off watchmen and tbh I actually thought watchmen was a bit of a sin city rip orf but without the pinache and originality, sin city had the whole stylish film noir mixed with modern and the gritty voice overs....watchmen did that but didn't get the film noir quite right and the voiceover just sounded like Marv ( :worthy: btw perf by M Roarke)

and 300 was just well.... it was.... how shall I put this... um... well it was

THIS IIIS SPAAAAARTAAAAA!!!! *hypermerventilates*

powerful, thats the words for it, it is one seriously powerful film, tbh I got the same feeling when I listened to Johnny Cash's version of Hurt, it was teh stlong.

I respect your opinions Ezteq, so beautifully explained :D But for me Watchmen is better than both of those films. Sin City I found very disappointing, I felt my braincells dying as I watched it at the cinema. Enjoyed it a bit more the second time around, but still felt disappointed it didn't match all the hype.

300 is certainly an epic, but once again you have to check the brain at the door.

I found Watchmen engaged me a lot more emotionally and intellectually than either film.

I think it is great but I did also love the comic.
As others have said, they did use the music in a great way and really good acting as well.

But Ez, your post is da bomb! - as always.

Didn't like the graphic novel. The story the little black kid's always reading at the news stand was a waste of paper imo. Film was even worse and FFS, do we need to see some guys ass clenching? if I wanted a porno i'd go to pornhub lol

oh and wtf with Ozymandis(sp?) and the whole city scene, kinda decided against following the story mr producer?
