Patchnote 1.82f

http://www.camelotherald.com/more/2333.shtml

Warlock

- Uninterruptible primers now have the following power costs:

1 - Steady Cast - 45% power
11 - Solid Cast - 40% power
21 - Fixed Cast - 35% power
29 - Fortified Cast - 25% power
37 - Anchored Cast - 20% power
47 - Unshakable Cast - 15% power

... and Heretic love! <3

Realm Ability Changes

- The delve information for the realm ability, Testudo, now denotes that it is only effective versus realm enemies.
- The Heretic's realm rank 5 ability, Fanaticism, now reduces damage done by damage over time spells.

How will they ever kill me now? :m00:

think u got that wrong, the powercost was adjusted downwards

Atm it's:

Primer (Uninterruptable)
1 Steady Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 50%
11 Solid Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 45%
20 Fixed Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 40%
29 Fortified Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 35%
37 Anchored Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 30%
47 Unshakable Cast Self 2s/10 sec/0s Primer 25%

Another thing I noticed when I looked at the chart from the herald:
It also seems like they've changed the level of Fixed Cast from 20 to 21;
that means warlocks can't spec manareg 20 (fop like) and Fixed cast(lvl 21 UI) at the same time

Yes, warlock love here if anything :S

I doubt it makes up for the nerf in 1.82d (?) but it does reduce the effective nerf. Both changes in combination would also seem to make a higher witchcraft lower hexing spec more viable which is perhaps what mythic intended rather than a nerf. Maybe the FOTMers will all go back to three chamber spec soon, but I'm not too worried as most of the idiots who play WL took the best part of a year to realise that the 2 chamber spec was more effective anyway.

21 - Fixed Cast

Typo in patch notes?, or did they bump the level so that 50/20 doesnt get you that spell?

assuming the damage changes u will need more mana per fight with low witchcraft spec, especially as the discount in 182f is only 5% while damage reduction is 30% so I guess you'll have quite some downtime without the manareg if you use UIs a lot

a warlock can offer much utility to a group, so why not play it?

and now I mean play it not just load up pbaoe chambers and press them and stand like a fool after.

Kinda like with a bainshee, sure you could use them and abuse them by camping bridges and pretty much stand there using one key, or you could actually play the char good and be a great asset to a group. If anyone you should know that Gamah, afaik you do play your bainshee not just camp it?

I don't know really , anyone can play any class. Wl are instakills yes, but there still are good players that got Wl's. An good Wl imo would be one that goes against the fotm specs.

A good wl would be one that gets more out of the char than an avarage player. Nothing to do with fotm or non-fotm. Most wl ive played against on glaston are not very clever as they start by unloading their chambers and then have nothing afterwards except the uninteruptable which can easily countered with amnesia.

I did not say a warlock is a good player, I said a good player dont need chambers if they were to play a warlock. And I am talking about 8v8 here, not bridge camping or something else lame.

Hmmmmm

Warlocks are a tad OP
Minstrels are a tad OP in stealther wars/warlord mode
Bainshees are a tad OP in everything/zergwar

Pot calling kettle black?

The only good thing about warlocks is that they seem to be good fun to play in keep warfare, and that you don't need to have an uber template to play them. One day I'll finish my one off to use in future Alb relic raids.
The only thing I find about playing casters though is I find it gets boring zapping people. I need to get in up close and personal and hack and slash. Much more fun :>

Lo0ll plyers who NEVER EVER played against a warlock come here and tell us what THE fuck is up YO...

seriously, play a fully toa-ed caster against a warcock, to be fair lets say you are rr7 and the cock is only rr4.... after analyzing your log come back here and join the fan club of:

"nerf warcocks".

anyone who defends warlock in any form sounds utterly stupid or totally clueless, especially the ones with a warlock makes me burst out some laughter xD so please dont before people think iam not totally normal in shop :[[[

RR was a random number before anyone casts the funny of :"look someone got owned! haha so funneh i'm !"

I was solo on my wiz once (yeah, it's true), I entered agramon bridge, saw 1 warlock running towards me, so I jumped up in the air and was heading for the water, before I got off the bridge I was dead (took 1s from when I saw him to when I died :p).

I hate warcocks.

Look! The warlocks started crying and they're going to quit oO
Rofl that post is just too funny, I can see the average skill level of DAOC players going up significantly quite soon :)

As for those who say that playing a warlorck doesn't necessarily make you a bad player, that's absolutely correct, but I think what Gamah and many other people were trying to say is that the vast majority of WLs show themselves to be totally skillless by the way they play. The fact that almost no warlocks ever use NS or unbreakable snare even though there are many situations where it would be extremely powerful (much more than 2 LT chambers) is just one example, there are plenty more which anyone who has ever fought against one will know.

Vs all my classes every player has a chance to win..vs a warlock you have no chance (Without FZ) or a stun followed by high DPS..yes there is a difference. Sure I can kill your rog lock with 2% slash in stun time..but other than that I just get insta'd to death. Bainshees are not overpowered solo, infact they suck arse..so that the "everything" argument out the window..and I rarly fight in "zerg" wars, but now cone has been fixed at bridges and is getting a falloff nerf I should imagene they will not be half as effective as they once were, I am respecing out of cone as soon as I can get an EC, I have found a much nicer spec for fg rvr :p

As for Minstrel, yeah warlord/battler/ip/purge combo is stupid but, any strel in his right mind wont use all his tools to win a fight..unless he wants to be dog meat for the next 15 min.

Nor a Bainshee cownergamah :<

Though saying this, with the nerfs making wl's poopy, will you then concede that the ones that still play and own are good players? :p

I play 50 curse spec, which is quite a pain in the backside because i'm lucky to get 1 - 2 normal spells off a run when solo or duo with sm friend, not nice trying to cast 4 second spells with the amount of interuptions in rvr these days :)
