i doubt the "l337 kiddies" will even play WAR, there is little or no fg vs fg potential in it looking at the info they have released so far

plz m8, i have great respect for you, but dont be a "anti-leet" moron they are just as bad as the ones they have proclaimed they hate so much.
I simply stated i doubt there was going to be a significant fg community in WAR imo

Like Chronic said, I too have a great deal of respect for you on these forums Svart, but I really think you're being unfair here.

He's only saying that there is little or nothing to attract the people who enjoy fg v fg from DAoC to WAR. He's not saying anything against the people who like open RVR at all, and you're taking it the wrong way imo.

While I dont consider myself a "l33t kiddie", I used to prefer 1 on 1 in DAoC to open RVR, as such I am looking at WAR and wondering if there will be anything much there for me to enjoy, just like Chronictank said about the fg croud.

The big battles do look like a bit of a laugh though I have to admit

Depends on the reward system tbh..

FG RvR was the most effective way of farming RP. No FG stuff in WoW really unless you count BG

Basic info is from what I could gather:-

3 types of PvP

Roaming - ala DAOC
Scenario - Achieve an objective - This gives a benefit to all people of your faction in that zone. Objectives will be like capture the tower or take over the Farm etc.
Instanced - Balanced Team based games (teams balanced by a point system eg "Team A has 10x top level characters + 3x under top level cap" "Team B has 7x Top level Players + 9 x under Top level cap players).

Zones

Not entirely sure how you "win" a zone but the over all aim is to fight your way to your opponents capital city and brek in via completing one of a number of objectives i.e. Break the wall down or Dig under the Walls. You can then ransack it capture the king and take him back to your capital city stick him in the stocks (apparently NPC's will sell tomatoes to throw etc).
