Looks kinda sweet, still looks a lot like wow however, which i suppose is not a bad thing.

Blizzard ripped off Warhammer's look and character design, Mythic are staying true to the Warhammer universe with the design of WAR. WAR is not a WoW clone, WoW is a Warhammer rip off.

You should talk to the Blizzard and Workshop guys before throwing those kind of accusations like the good fanboi you are.

Blizzard admit they have taken influence from the warhammer world 'cause there are quite a few fans in the team.

Workshop team thinks WoW is excellent and like a stupendous scale fanart of warhammer. Not the original fraanchise, but damn well good job and have no feelings of being ripped off.

WAR has taken things from both(since it's the first real MMO from warcraft), and as such, it's neither here nor there.

And by the by, Workshop guys admit that they have ripped off a few ideas from WoW too.

When I say unrealistic, it's possibly because these guys is swining their weapons through the other models, it could have something to do with the way half of the models is inside another model. Maybe it's because their all just standing still, taking a beating, instead of weaving in and out of combat, you know, blocking and shit to stay alive.

And when I say real combat, maybe it's because of the way it was set up, only to make that one video, all they got is a couple animations and poorly made models that im suppose to drool over?

It's still utter shit unless your a complete fanboy.

When I say unrealistic, it's possibly because these guys is swining their weapons through the other models, it could have something to do with the way half of the models is inside another model. Maybe it's because their all just standing still, taking a beating, instead of weaving in and out of combat, you know, blocking and shit to stay alive.

I agree with Case War will be a better place, although we will have to deal with a new breed of noobs when it is actually released.

If you'd actualy read my last post, where I elaborated on my earlier comment you'd come to realize I didnt even comment on the fantasy settings it self. I didnt even mention any fireballs, or any of the magics used in the video. It was purely the combat and the shitty animations used for the demonstration.

Now, when I need your advice on when it's time for me to go "outside the door fgs...." I'll make sure to come ask you, untill then why dont you take your advice and shove it where the sun dont shine. Untill such time comes what I need or dont need is really not for you to decide or advice on, since you dont know fuck all about me I'd appriciate it if you'd piss off, ok?

Iv'e said this before, but the innovation, game engine, and overall game design for WoW was brilliant. The only thing letting it down was a truly terrible "endgame"

Mythic's RvR model combined with everything that was good about WoW, will make for an excellent game.

And to cap it all, it's set in the warhammer world... almost perfect tbh.

They just have to not screw it up <crosses fingers>

Collision modelling for characters will not be implemented probably because of exploit reasons(yeah you you dodocheater and doorblocker).

The video is alpha, but i'd be ashamed to release it. It had nothing. Few swings and spell effects, that took half the screen. And yes the battle was a bit stoick. Like in each and every MMO so far. See the point being counterpointed there?

So, what doe it come down to? It's not really innovative, it's nothing really asthonishing, but it just might be a good MMO for the anally judgemental Warhammer fans(you know who you are).

Yea have to agree daoc rvr + wow set up and social system should be awsome.

I dont actually care about the animations so much in that video. Doesn't actually look any different with DAoC or WoW.

if its so awful why are you still playing daoc :S (assuming that you are), more to the point why are you still posting here.. this is the Daoc community without the Daoc so the only reason to troll here is if you like talking to the community. Saying you only stay for a few people is rather silly as you could have them on msn or something similar and not read these boards at all..

I found the vast majority to be very nice tbh, if they werent i wouldnt have played this game for 2 odd years after it reached its expirey date
