If somehow the two franchises found themselfs in the same universe, how would things play out and ultimatly which franchise would prove the dominant?

easy

warcraft/starcraft was meant to be a warhammer/40k thing till they didnt get approval, and as all things that are copies are inferior to the original.. :p

Starcraft is fun but when it comes down to it, its just rednecks in space.

WH40K is a much richer and darker universe.

all things that are copies are inferior to the original.. :p

Soft Cell's version of Tainted Love

Jeff Buckley's version of Halleluljah

Thats just off the top of my head ;)

Are you joking Wij? The look of them for a start, the tech, gateways etc, the religious aspect. The ancient, advanced yet dying race?

Blizzard never do anything original. Ever.

What they excel at is taking what other people have done and polishing & refining it. They produce fun games because of this but they've never ever strayed into that scary place called Originality.

As I said though, their products are still fun. Just lets not get too excited about their story settings.

Not all the Eldar fighting units are female, only the banshees are all female. The rest are of both sexes.

As for the taking damage, what the hell are you talking about?

Err what? The Eldar were not all female in DOW. Some of the lead characters with voices were female.

Only in DoW. In the actual franchise itself Banshees are predominantly female but don't have to be so, Farseers can be both sexes as can Guardians or indeed any other military unit.

As for taking damage DoW only included a few units from the actual franchise. Unfortunately they didn't include Scorpions, who are the Eldar's heavily armoured close combat specialists and are well 'ard.

'shees are required to be female, im pretty sure
striking scorpions fill almost the identical role as the Shees do, so no need
same with swopping hawks / warp spiders

LOL I love that. Wasn't there a WH40K mod for the first Starcraft I would imagine a version will be released for SC2 in the future.
