And, I will be 29 this year and I still go clubbing, a lot of my social circle (thanks to woolies) are made up of 19-23 year olds. I plan to continue going out with them for many years to come. Hell my best mates who are my age and I still go out as much as we did when we were 20.

You have no excuses! Look at Tony :)

Oh my god, not long to go.

I do believe it is June and Brighton, anyone recommend any good clubs to visit after teh concert?

Last time I was in Brighton on a Saturday night it was like a scene from Hades! Far worse than anything I've seen in Manchester or Leeds. Felt quite unsafe, and that doesn't happen often, never again.

I went to watch it at the O2 last weekend, it's utterly immense :)

Only problem was the utterly shit transport in London: Jubilee, Hammersmith & Met lines were shut all day, they laid on a replacement ferry from East India docks to the o2 but it was woefully inadequate getting back. That and the tube shuts at 12:30, I mean seriously what kind of a retarded time is that. I just hope it all goes tits up in the olympics :)

You were right Jingle bells.
It was brilliant. Jeff Wayne was amazing, as was the Orchestra.
Really emotional moments, superb. We had seats near the front.
Think Deebs enjoyed it too.

Fuck me, over 30 years since I heard this album and I still love it. My best album ever, listening to it right now.

Such a great album. May insist on it blaring out of the stereo on this weekend's adventure :)

So many great bits in it, like the guitar work in Horsell Common and the Heat Ray.

How did I miss this thread? The ex and I went to see this live at the 02. Absolutely loved it. Always been one of my favourite things to listen to, got the vinyl for it somewhere.

I have every release of it ever published. My pride and joy is the following, still in the shrinkwrap!

Just before Thunderchild for me and Nathianel. Makes me cry as I think of my mum. The parson. Nathaniel. I'm gone. (guess what is playing?)

Currently sitting in Waitrose cat park waiting for the Mrs to come out. Bored. So I decide to download War of the Worlds (Tom Cruise movie) to watch later. I thought it would take maybe an hour to D/L. Suddenly I am getting download speeds of 8 MB/s! Got a 2GB movie on my phone in a few minutes! I've never had D/L speeds like that before. My router at home is crap, and usually I get 1.7 MB/s on my mobile tops. Never 8. Well chuffed. Must be next to a cell tower. 4G LTE full signal strength. Happy days.

The Mrs can take another hour shopping for all I care now. :)

I definitely prefer the audio version of WotW over any of the film versions so far.

I think the Brits should make their own film version of War of the Worlds, having Michael Caine replacing Morgan Freeman and Johnny Vegas replacing Tom Cruise.

AND USE THE ORIGINAL SOUND TRACK YOU YANK WANKS

The Jeff Wayne version is still the best. Got it on vinyl and play it every now and again, always makes me remember the first time I heard it when my dad played it 35-40 years ago (its my dads old vinyl ive got now, he bought it in 78 when it was first released).
